I dont disagree, but when they cannot even provide the exactness of what they believe are the commandments of shariah besides a few popular ones; then it can only means one of two things:

1. The current crop of "pro-shariah" have never understood Shariah nor Islam for that matter

2. They use Shariah as an excuse to want to maintain bigoted and oppressive socieites

I couldn't agree more with this. It's unfortunate but I also believe there is an awakening amongst some of educated class (Esp in Pakistani diaspora and native) who are now more vocal to take back their religion from the regressives.

there is no rush to remove Muslim Americans who want Sharia law, let us sit back and watch the situation in Europe first since that's where Sharia law would happen first in a democractic Western country.

First of all no it doesn't, the 1st Amendment says "impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press", Americans have no problem with Muslims being Muslim, but they will obey the law and will not try to make a new one.

Sharia is a form of administration or governance. You cannot have two parallel governance model in a country. Sharia is also based on religious practice with emphasis on islamic practices, which is in direct conflict most of the times with the modern world. Hence sharia preachers or followers tend to be in conflicting path with the government policies. hence banning and deporting from the land where sharia is not there is a viable solution.

American muslims are by and large much better integrated into their society than those in Europe in places like the UK, France and Belgium etc but recent jihadist attacks in San Bernadino and Orlando have people on edge, things like the Nice jihad will sometimes throw people off the edge and cause them to make extreme statements.

Mostly I think it's the Trump campaign strategy to have their surrogates like Newt take on the role of attacking Islamists as Trump himself tones it down and pivots to the general. He also put out a statement on FB and walked it back later.
