Well actually that is old ranking. according to new ranking India's at number 7.

India already overtook both Italy and Canada in 1 year. Who knows in 5-6 years India might be in top 5. Don't worry about our future I think it's in safe hands you should think about yourself. You're still stuck at 43.

Sanctions ban foreign companies from investing more than $20 millions in Iran and also prevent Iran from buying necessary educational stuff for universities.So you are ignorant here.However we are now much of the stuff in the country and there is no problem for that.
Sanctions don't even let Iran buy passenger aircraft.I bet if such sanctions were imposed against Israel including arms embargo,there was no country called Israel today.

WTF are you talking about, you dummy posted yourself link to wikipedia and i highlighted for you to see it clear that sanctions are on military hardware and nuclear activity, Iranians can(and are) study abroad and acquire all education it needs for whatever they want to even nuclear activity, there is no ban whatsoever on Iranian national to study in any academic institution(maybe except Israel)

man you suck at reading, look at the post above yours. This is the second time in this thread. If you have a SCOPUS aaccount, you can go and see the updated results. SCOPUS will release the information to public in the middle of every year so we have to wait another 4-5 months. A person from this forum also had a SCOPUS account and he confirmed that the new rankings are the same on SCOPUS` website.

Well they posted a Persian article and someone translated it but since it is an English language forum the post with Persian artile and the source got deleted by the administrator only translation is remained.
