Chinese government has withdrawn 50% EV subsidies from vehicles with over 250 km range per charge and completely eliminated subsidies for vehicles with ranges under 250 km. Naturally, sales will take a hit this has absolutely nothing to do with trade war with United Stats.

Tesla had it’s tax credit reduced down to only $3750 on December 31st 2018 and sales went up afterwards.

On December 31st 2019 there will be none.

If the EV market is causing the slide in car sales it shows the Chinese market price of their EVs is simply too high compared to their gasoline ones.

I guess you don't know the Chinese laws, joint ventures in China must be contralled by Chinese partners, foreign stakes can't be over 50%. so they are all controlled by China.
