New taxes expected in coming budget

I am in favor of his completing the full term, but that doesn't mean we should keep silent on his stupidity and immature handling of matters. He needs to understand that he is no more heading a dancing sit in, a lot is at stake here, he can make or break Pakistan .... so instead making false public claims and promises that he may not be able to achieve, he should stop with emotional speeches, and some serious materialistic thought needs to go into policy making, reviving institutions, revamping legal structure and some confidence building measures need to be adopted. I sense that relying on one ally policy is still in place.

Please do not overestimate his importance. PMIK is but an installed figurehead, and the forces that put him there will also ensure stability for Pakistan.

Govt gives Rs20b tax relief to richest class

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has given nearly Rs20 billion worth of income tax exemption to the richest class of the country, which is 40% of the amount that it will collect by increasing tax burden on the salaried class.

In a major relief to the tobacco growers, Azhar said the tax rate on GLT leaves would be just Rs10 per kilogramme.

Earlier the tax rate was proposed to be Rs300 per kg. The government reversed the decision on the intervention of the National Assembly

I do not think IMF will provide Pakistani people any relief in its latest annual budget sanctioned through by PTI Government.
