Heres a Polish tank PL 01 CONCEPT presented at the International Defence Industry Exhibition 2013 Kielce, that looks pretty space-age!
It has a crew of three, fully automatic turret, fully autoloaded 105mm or 120mm gun, anti-aicraft MG and both active and passive countermeasures and a 40 mm grenade launcher.
It is made from special materials, reducing its radar and heat signature made by BAE Systems thermal stealth technology. Its armor is modular and the hull can be converted to any number of purposes, including an IFV which can be used to carry up to four soldiers.
The vehicle will move using steel or rubber tracks, the drive is a hybrid engine. The tank can move at high speeds on the road and off-road. Water obstacles are overcome efficiently.
Firing is enabled by day/night optoelectronic systems. It also has automatic detection systems, missile guidance and can distinguish between friend and foe. The whole will be hooked up to a central battlefield management system with complete situational awareness.
