BTW let's discuss something...
I prefer FIFA World Cup & UEFA European Championship rather then Olympic Games as an organization to be done in Türkiye...
Firstly Olympic Games are not popular like other 2 organizations... Secondly Olympic Games has various of branches... So many... That's why Olympics' organization costs too much... Another thing is sport complexes are not sustainable like football stadiums for economical and utilization and employement... Another thing is ' Prestige of Olympics' ... lol... Hell NO... Other 2 have far more prestige... However Olympic Games includes many different games, even worst match of World Cup & European Championship is more popular then any branch of Olympics...
As Türkiye we strive for all of them but i think we should focus on FIFA World Cup & UEFA European Championship... And i afraid if they give us Olympics before 2 other... If it happens that way then it means we will not see other 2 atleast for 50 years in Türkiye... Our guys should give up with Qlympics...
And i think we will be so powerful candidate for FIFA World Cup & UEFA European Championship with these new, modern & beautiful stadiums... We will not show our projects as ^Ds but we will show them as real... There will be no risk for these organizations... We will not say things like "We will do this project, that project" we will say "We already did it"...
FIFA world cup, yes i would prefer it among these 3 ,but olympics still has a prestige, and makes country looking better ,somehow attracts more tourits , becomes an advertisement about turkey also becomes a reason to inspire public about sports .
Lots of facilities in variety of branches in turkey are missing, thats a fact when you mention about sports people think of football ,then maybe basketball, then volleyball , and rest; no ? I think, football isnt the -only one - sport in the world ,as well as others mentioned .
Olympics would be a good step for turkey,to have better rankings in next olympics, as people get involved and curious about sports, and i believe those facilities will have been built for Olympics, would also not stay " closed ,underused" after job done ; and would be used by public ( at least i hope so )
Honestly i am not interested in football ,and as i see football is only matter what people talks, and considers as -only one- sport ,i cant give an "ok".
Thats a fact, 2004 summer olympics was emergence point of greece's economic black out ,spent too much for facilities , no expected return of income and high maintenance cost in following years with underused facilities.

Also ,we are a country left F1 grandprix, while it was quite attractive for us and world , but controversy occured due to participation of Northern Cyprus President in delivery of awards (condemned by southern cyprus ) ,followed by decline of annual payment to F1 authorities and finally payment rejected by Tayyip Erdogan.
I dont know whether we would have been same with greece about facilities for olympics,or would our public get an interest for different sports. if we held F1 until now,i would feel more positive on Olympics and sincerity of Tayyip erdogan in this matter. But while he couldnt accept some more millions USD of payment, and just accepted throwing away 6-7 billions for olympics , while F1 is way more attractive than UEFA or FIFA finals or olympics .
I think, rather then FIFA or UEFA should focus on F1 to get it back , circuit was a good one .
