I didn't know one can gauge the quality or effectiveness of armor just by looking at it...




Interesting design, a radical departure from the traditional low Silhouette designs we are accustomed to seeing.

The gun is unnamed and is in the 5x caliber range, based on barrel length it should be a very high velocity gun that enjoys a great field of view thanks to how high the gun sits.

Not much can be concluded from protection levels other then the fact that the vehicle has a V-haul for mine protection, as well as modular armor. Based on today's armor advances and lessons learned from other designs this vehicle should have very good level of protection.

Apparently it`s Franco-Russian project tech demonstrator, not the Boomerang. However , unmanned turret (57mm gun) is probably developed for Boomerang.

I wouldn't say it's unmanned. It looks like some version of AU 220M 57mm.

Interesting to use the 57mm gun. In the second world war this was a very effective AT gun. I am very interested to see this weapon integrated on many vehicles. Let's see what kind of new smart ammo will be produced in the future. There are new 40mm anti tank rounds what is able to kill new MBT's: top attack.
