New rules for visas to help Chinese 'return home'

Being bombarded since young with US led anti China propaganda from US influenced local media, it is inevitable that some will succumb to this brainwashing.

Among all Chinese societies except Macau, Singapore actually has the most favorable view of China.

haha, we score the highest of them all.

But sad to say, I recently watched The New Silk Road 3 ep 2 on our Channelnewsasia.
It riles me that a program that says China is exploiting Pakistan or other countries is shown on our TV.

Taiwan has stagnating wages and HK's housing is severely unaffordable. These are problems plaguing developed countries around the world, and Singapore is not immune to it. Although Singapore as a developed country has performed relatively well in these two areas for the past decade, they are still potential pitfalls in the future.

I think housing can be kept affordable because of HDB. But it's unlikely our wages can increase the same pace in the next decade.

Well, it's a documentary so it has to be balanced and all-rounded for it to be credible and objective. Advantages and disadvantages, benefits and pitfalls. If it's all about the good things, it will lose its objectivity and people will just treat is as a propaganda.

Look at the other side. Surely it talked about the advantages and benefits too? Overall conclusion is it a plus or minus?

I watch CNA too and it explores many positives of China, such as cashless society and the sharing economy. It talked about the potential pitfalls too, but overall it's positive. Otherwise we won't be trying to learn from them in these 2 areas. They are indeed the pioneer of the world in these areas.

It’s very difficult to classify the real enthic overseas Chinese.

What is the criteria?

-look like Chinese?
-can speak or understand Chinese?
-have the so called root as Chinese from many generation?
DNA testing

. .
No, DNA testing alone will not do.
I believe @TaiShang and @Martian2 would like to exclude people like Ai Weiwei, Liu Xiaobo and Joshua Wong.
A thorough check and an interview with visa applicant is necessary.
.
Joshua wong is a viet and ET. His mother fucked some Ferangi. Look at his features. As well Billy chiu, the numb nut who got slapped is Viet to the bones

Well, GDP per captia wise Singapore sure take the first spot, and the funny part is the mainland Chinese's view on the rank of the 4 is actually the most correlated with GDP per captia among them.

They have it by ethnic, and most can be confirmed by just look and a little background checking (they tend to have relatives in mainland), dont need to resort to DNA test.

I think we can know they are "real" Chinese or not from Test DNA.
We can use thousands of sample from Chinese people from all over mainland to determine, those Overseas Chinese DNA is "Chinese" or not.

Because with similar DNA, then that mean those people have same values of live, same work habit, and same Logic thinking.

Exactly, modern DNA test can actually confirm your ancestors, and the tech is pretty mature and reliable.
