New "Recon" Units

New Special Forces so-called "Recon" units to be provided to all large formations, (decided in principal) will be special forces all in but name. Will enable SSG and LCB to conduct more kinetic operations. Recon units will also be vital in continuing CI, an CT operations.

So SSG will conduct traditional SF's role, LCB's the so-called US A "Ranger" role, and now these boys.

What does LCB stands for?

that is an awesome news to hear sir, we are in right direction, don't forget we are already working on Designated Marksman on Platoon level

Apart from many the problems that this war in Afghanistan has caused for Pakistan there are some advantages as well. and I am not talking about the peanuts that US gave as aid but the experience and knowledge that is gained from observing the way US fights its wars.
Inducting SSW, snipers and now these Recons units will be a great advantage in any future conflicts that Pakistan is involved in. The Chinese studied meticulously the results of the First Gulf War and changed their doctrine, units and equipment. It will be great to see Pakistan doing the same regarding the Afghan conflict.

These Recon units will perform both deep reconnaissance and direct action operations in enemy area or employed to observe and report on enemy activity and other information of military significance in close operations, like in FATA or Wazirstans.
