So what if we are? Ask any African who remembers colonial times if things are better for them now.
Enslave? If it wasn't for the Royal Navy slavery would still be the norm all over the globe.Nothing to be proud of - killing and looting.
I am sure that British would not be thinking the same
if one day giant Asian fleets come to their shores to
enslave them.
Colonialism is wrong whether it is done by white, brown or black
or anyone else for that matter.

end of the day it was about power and total domination we did good. but it fell we f*cked up before we left in some places. What if I told you today's suffering in Africa started exactly when the 'white men' put their feet on their continent? Only a British can defend British colonialism, just like a French defending massacre of Algerians for demanding thieves out of their country. There is nothing to defend or be proud of, at least for those who were colonized.

'There are 650 million people in Africa who haven't met with electricity yet and then only New York's usage of electricity almost equal to Africa, a continent. In such a world we can not speak of Justice.'' Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet DavutogluAsk any African if things are better for them now.
They may not have electricity but neither are they being chained to shelves with their own waste and shipped across the ocean to be sold as chattel.'There are 650 million people in Africa who haven't met with electricity yet and then only New York's usage of electricity almost equal to Africa, a continent. It doesn't sound any better.

At least Africans have the decency not to be "proud" of enabling slavery! The Brits should have the decency to recognize colonialism for the exploitative system it was ...nothing for anyone to be proud about. They were sold as slaves amongst themselves or ferried across deserts by muslim slave traders way before Europeans arrived. Not that the European slave trade was a good thing but atleast they had the human decency to stop it themselves.
That's a point. They may not have electricity but neither are they being chained to shelves with their own waste and shipped across the ocean to be sold as chattel.
