New oil, gas deposits tapped in K-P

oil and gas comes out of kpk and the local people just see fire in the large chimneys where it is extracted while the beneficiary is punjab.
The local skilled people are struggling to find the jobs but they see people from other areas getting the jobs in their village.

what if people of provinces divide them further after 'wining' this inter provincial transfer of work force? like Peshawari feel uncomfort seeing Mardani in town?
"Khazain ul arab" belongs to nation.. what if people stopped sending agricultural products saying that "its from our soil". Wouldn't be people deprived of wheat, oil, rice, etc in some part of country or at least will have these at higher price !!!
Will you like to be treated by a Doctor studied at King Edward medical college, Bolan medical college or Abbottabad medical college or will insist to be treated by just pass out of a KPK medical college ???

Somebody tell this guy that before Musharaf the whole country worked as a one unit state and all the resources supposed to be spent on other states were diverted to Punjab too. Before musharaf there was absolutely no development done in small provinces.

He tried to use free market argument, when he doesn't know how to. KPK labor force are ample qualified.

He is the type who thinks some Pakistanis are more equal than others.

This has actually happened before. Wheat was limited to other provinces at one point. IDPs werent allowed to enter certain provinces. Unfortunately, track record is very poor.

first: The local people should be given priority. like for example if oil comes from kohat then kohat people should be given priority ot atleast maximum quota.
second: Sending agriculture products gives them profit. The problem will be if they are not given share from their own food. First right and priority should be given to the local population. In the past sending some agriculture products to KPK was banned by government. Remember the times when wheat and flour was out of stocks. and it won't be a good choice if people import products from other countries by surpassing their own people.
third: You are right about education quality in different provinces but let me tell you most of the kpk graduates have attained their education from good universities all across Pakistan. Some of kpk universities are also not that bad even though most of them produce lullu engineers and graduates. And at last it's also government responsibility to raise the standard of education.

Their are lot of problems in the system which needs to be addressed.

If we were to use your argument; there are more than one million Pashtuns in Karachi alone and there are hell of lot of poor unemployed people in Sindh; suppose Sindhis use the same argument against the residents originating from KPK?

Pakistan is one country and all Pakistanis are free to move anywhere to find work. Besides, most oil companies give jobs on qualification and not on ethnicity.

It is a pity that even after 70 years, people from the other province are considered foreigners within Pakistan. And we condemn Neo Nazis (BNP & Skinheads) when they want to throw out all non- whites from Britain!

Sir in Pakistan domicile system is used. If a punjabi in kpk have been living there then he can and should be given the chance. and it happens. Similarly many pashtuns have domicile of other provinces and they should be eligible and should be treated as locals and are treated as locals. but the problem is that all of the locals don't get their shares.

Not that much, I'd say leave them as they are and keep it as a future insurance policy.

These type of resources will become scarce eventually and would fetch a much higher price in the next decade or two.

That is always true. In scarcity no one leaves other irrespective to his race. e.g in Ramzan, everyone loots others as to make huge profit. i meant what if these are just sold at higher price w/o subsidy

i am not questioning education system. I meant if our hypocrisy that we use western medicine even when we boycott their products.. Like, who will play race card when are in dire need of medical help. anyway mostly HEC scholars are from KPK

KPK means (land of pashtun)??? if Pahari/mansaheri cause no problem.. so why skill labor from other province bothers local..? just if resource allocation is problem then provinces will settle this out with time. but if problem is 'foreigner' skill person doing a job is a problem then there is isssue.. thats why i gave example of qualified physician who is not local.. Will locals not get treatment from him?

Note: I am myself Punjabi and support your point of view. Even though in minority, there are many others.

Unfortunately, majority of Punajbi elite considers residents of other provinces as children of a lesser God with low education and common sense. In a recent thread, questions from students of Gawdar to CM Punjab were also considered rubbish. In past, students of Dhaka university used to ask same questions like "Pat-sun yahan peda hota hai aur sarkain Punjab main banti hain". We know what eventually happened. We still haven't learned anything and following picture sums it all up.
