New Moore/South Talpatti issue solved..

The same reason it was brought in every maritime boundary demarkation meeting between India and Bangladesh. It is a disputed territory. Nothing to do with Tom and Dick...
'Disputed' territory? Says who? By virtue of which legal document?:argh:

O I get it. A Tom and a Dick called it their own land and hence its 'disputed'. You mean if from tomorrow my neighbour starts claiming my backyard as part of his property, it will become disputed? :hang2:

Its one thing to colloquially refer to something as 'disputed' and it is another where something becomes legally 'disputed'. This tagging of land as 'disputed' on one pretext or the other, has become a disease on this forum. :disagree:

I dont think i need to find the synonmys of "disputed" word. Webster dictionary might help???

The demarcation of the maritime boundary — and who controls the remaining islands — remains an open issue between the two South Asian neighbors, despite the disappearance of New Moore, said an official in India's foreign ministry, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on international disputes

Bangladesh officials were not available for comment Wednesday.

The map I have used is neither used nor vetted by Indian Government. It is also not taken by Indian satellite. I have taken it from this French site. The original satellite imagery was provided below in my original post. Here it is once again.

Regarding 'joint survey', well, why should Indian Govt. agree to a joint survey of Indian land? Any Tom, Dick, eastwatch and eastwatch's govt. can claim anything. That doesn't mean GoI will have to entertain every demand just because.
The land belongs to BD, but is contested by India. So, India should come forward to make a joint survey, including the survey of flow of the rivers in the vicinity, to demarcate the border.

Anything left to survey now?
