The mission cost just $74 million, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has quipped was less than the estimated $100 million budget for the sci-fi Hollywood blockbuster "Gravity".
True that! Of course there is no comparison but its good for propaganda!Yes..yes...but our expensive imaging satellites are still going strong after 9 years in orbit.
They spend 600 billion dollars on military budget and NASA is not included (18 billion $) .True that! Of course there is no comparison but its good for propaganda!
Atleast we beat the United States at cost. India cannot really afford super expensive missions as of now with super heavy satellites and payloads. USA spends millions of dollars in researching imaging technologies alone.
But we made optimum use of our limited resources and that is quite an achievement we'd like to believe!
Yes..yes...but our expensive imaging satellites are still going strong after 9 years in orbit.
Well since it is first satellite, the design life was kept to approximately one year and maybe in future, longevity can be achieved. All space agencies must co-operate in missions like these as this prevents duplication of efforts and cuts cost. ISRO definitely has shown its capability.Yes..yes...but our expensive imaging satellites are still going strong after 9 years in orbit.
I don't know if current international scenario allows to, but may be INDIA and IRAN can co-operate in this field. Iran (& other countries in region for that matter) can gain a lot from India's presence in Satellite market and as past has shown, Indian satellite network is quite reliable and affordable services. Our govt. needs to step up its efforts you guys are going really fast
They spend 600 billion dollars on military budget and NASA is not included (18 billion $) .
Pretty much a retard performance by them i'd say . if we invested that much money , our people would be landing on venus in 20 years
JK
Yes it also proves that money isn't everything when it comes to High end research. How glad are we that despite indifferent economic conditions, India nurtured its space program since 1960s and the fruits of that are here for all of us to enjoy in form of one of the biggest satellite networks in the world which has led to phenomenal growth in areas like Telecom, Television DTH industry, Weather forecasting etc.You nailed it bro.India has 1 billion$ fund and China has 2 billion $ for their agency.Yet both of them performed very well with their meagre sources. If our ISRO has 18 billiion $ fund we would have been in Moon or Mars with an established scientif colony.
