New LVCP handover to army on Nov 13

In the south a trawler could easily hold up to 100+ people. Serious waste of money.

Whats the application of this vessel. It does not have any amphibious strike capability and neither it is large enough to carry heavy vehicles. The only application is that retired soldiers can have a river cruise on it.

The army shouldnt have glorified this midget ferry into a LCVP.
I was kidding, but looks lie it can carry a tank or howitzer atleast but not sure if it can take the weight.
It took us 1 and a 1/2 year to build this thing, looks like we are crap without the chinese :D

I think khulna shipyard has stopped becoming innovative and started to slack off because it holds monopoly over the defence contracts. They know that they will have food on their table at the end of the day regardless of how much effort you put in.

Shipyards in chittagong produce some of the finest ships in BD and exports it to other countries. We can build unarmed/light armed ships without the chinese, but we must float the tenders among the native shipbuilders to ensure that our navy/army is getting the best fr the best price.

why not order ships from chittagong then? :undecided: but seriously 16cr for that :hitwall:

WTF is tht sh!t??? Thats a ******* ferry not a LCVP. It doesnt look seaworthy at all. It looks like a bus had sex with a small boat resulting in this mishap. Damn i was expecting it to be something like they navy's lcvp :/. Quite disappointed.

hahhahahahha excatly bro i am freking pissed too

.
We all know what LCVP stands for. no one here is illitarate . you dont have to tell us that...

Not every one is as literate in military vehicle matters as you are. So, let people do some extra works for the benefit of others.

KSY was dying when Bangladesh navy took over.

I think the reason is that maybe they want to provide jobs for the people of khulna. Strategic reason for still running khulna shipyard is that, in case anything happens to chittagong ship yards, there will at least be another shipyard for use.

But seriously spending 16cr on this is too much.

I have never seen such an ugly boat in my entire life. Is it really a boat to carry BA troops? I have heard that some of our private shipbuilders build ferries. I usually cross the Padma at Paturia point, all are very good looking strong ferries. They carry more than ten vehicles. Why then this ugly creature should be built for our army? I think, there is a big mistake here. The boat in the picture cannot be for BA. If so, the team leader under whose supervision this was built should be severely reprimanded.

I have a second thought after watching and thinking seriously. Thing is all that glitters may not be gold always, and vice versa. This boat is for BA troops to run through shallow water not only in the rivers, but also in small, narrow, shallow and small canals that crisscrooss the country like a fishing net. Look at the haul of this boat, it is very shallow as if it does not exist. I believe this boat serves the purpose of transporting the troops to any designated place through water bodies. I hope, it is equipped with proper guns.

But it wont be useful during the monsoon season or in open sea. This vessel doesnt look stable at all with that high three storey structure and the small base. Furthermore, it is not armed :/

Anyway our APCs are amphibious as well. Furthermore our tanks(mbt 2000 and type 69) can snorkel. If there was a need to cross small canal they can do so.

LCVP are usually used to carry troops launch an amphibious attack onto enemy territory. This vessel does not have the capability to do so.

they probably wanted to keep the soldiers inside the structure and only the vehicles in the space. And this LCVP is probably for small crisis. It isn't equipped? :argh: where the hell did the 16cr go then?

Sorry man I posted that. In my defence, a LCVP should look like that. Not like the abomination KSY has created.

Anyway what do you want to name it? I want to name it BAS(Bangladesh army ship) Bhombol(retard)

Doesnt look like its equipped. I saw the daily sun picture of the top view. Just a searchlight, antenna, etc on top of the tree storey structure.
