Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed (OSP, NDC, PSC) will launch it at Khulna Ship yard.
2 LPC was under construction for 800 crore Taka and first of these LPC will be launched today.

প্রায় ২১০ফুট দৈর্ঘ ও ৩০ফুট প্রস্থ এবং প্রায় ১৪ফুট গভীরতার এসব সমর নৌযান ঘন্টায় প্রায় ২৫নটিক্যাল মাইল বা প্রায় ৪৭কিলোমিটার বেগে গভীর সমুদ্র সহ উপকুলের লক্ষস্থলে চলতে সক্ষম হবে। এসব যুদ্ধ জাহাজ বাংলাদেশ নৌ-বাহিনীর বহরে যুক্ত হলে তা দেশের ত্রীমাত্রিক নৌবাহিনী গঠন সহ সমুদ্র সম্পদ রক্ষায় অতন্দ্র প্রহরীর ভূমিকা পালন করেবে। দেশের সমুদ্র বিরোধী নিস্পত্তি সহ সীমানা নির্ধারণের পরে ‘ব্লু ইকনমি’র যে দ্বার অবারিত হয়েছে, তা রক্ষায় বাংলাদেশ নৌ-বাহিনীর ভূমিকা অপরিসীম। আর এ লক্ষকে সামনে রেখে সরকার নৌ বাহিনীকে যুগপোযোগী করার যে উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছেন এসব লার্জ পেট্রোল ক্রাফট নির্মাণ তারই অংশ।
প্রতিটি যুদ্ধ জাহাজে ৭০ জন করে নৌ সেনা ও নাবিক থাকছে। জাপানের নৌ জরিপ ও পরামর্শক প্রতিষ্ঠান ‘ক্লাস এনকেকে’র তত্বাবধানে চীনা কারগরি সহযোগীতায় নির্মিত এ যুদ্ধ জাহাজটিতে ১টি ৭৯.২০মিলিমিটার কামান ছাড়াও আরো একটি ৩০মিলিমিটার অনুরূপ কামান সংযোজন করা হচ্ছে। টর্পোডো ও মিসাইল সমৃদ্ধ এসব যুদ্ধ জাহাজ নির্মাণের মাধ্যমে খুলনা শিপইয়ার্ড সমর শিল্পে উপমহাদেশের বিশষ অবস্থান করে নিতে যাচ্ছে। এসব যুদ্ধ জাহাজ থেকে ১৫কিলোমিটার দুরে সমুদ্র থেকে আকাশে ও ভূমিতে শত্রুর লক্ষস্থলে আঘাত হানার মত মিসাইল সহ অত্যাধুনিক সমর সরঞ্জাম সংযোজন করা হচ্ছে। এছাড়াও যুদ্ধজাহাজ দুটিতে ১টি করে ট্রাকিং রাডার, দুটি করে নেভিগেশন রাডারস ও ১টি হাল মাউন্টড সোনারসহ বিভিন্ন অত্যাধুনিক সরঞ্জাম সংযোজন করা হচ্ছে।
প্রতিটি যুদ্ধ জাহাজে চীনে তৈরী ৭ হাজার ৬৪০ অশ্ব শক্তির ২টি করে মূল ইঞ্জিন ছাড়াও অমেরিকার ‘ক্যটার পীলার’ কোম্পানীর ১৬৫ কিলোওয়াটের ২টি করে জেনারেটর ইঞ্জিনও থাকছে। অত্যাধুনিক এসব সমর নৌযান ৬৭৮ মেটিক টন পানি অপসারণ করে ঘন্টায় প্রায় ৪৭কিলোমিটার বেগে ছুটে চলতে সক্ষম।

Large Patrol Craft = Durjoy Class with 678 ton displacement and 25 knots cruise...

These are a bit bigger than PNS Azmat class with not as many missiles carried. The role however is the same, stealthy coastal patrol and fast attack capability.

Next step ....after completing the six LPC's locally will be C13B BNS Shadhinata class corvettes (at least two and maybe five locally with ToT) in another five years. Lead ship F111 shown below. These displace 1300 tons.

And hopefully light frigates in another decade......Insha Allah....

Sonar looking bit small on technical point after seeing the pics, any one's observations?

I believe minimum 12-15 long range offshore patrol vessels should be first priority equipped with limited anti ship and medium range anti air capacity with at-least one heavy helicopter, that will be decent capability if acquired in next 5 years.

That will help in not only increasing the number of boats in your service, but also increase similarity in platforms with IN and Bangladesh might export them under domestic construction or in partnership with Indian shipyards. Well, to have such co-operation, you need high level of understanding. To be honest, India completely ignored Bangladesh's interest pretty long time. You already know BD has force goal 2030 vision.
Many countries showed interest in selling and co-operating in this area where India completely ignored until BD bought subs from China.
Now Your defence minister had come with some offers eg Mig29 upgrades in India for BD, training for T72 tanks, patrol craft for Coast Guards which are hilarious.
let me tell you How BD much amphibious is;
BD is looking at building with TOT or assembling in here.
eg. BD now has TOT of these large patrol craft, TOT of C13B corvette and aim to build frigate by 2020.
BD has TOT of c704 and c802A AshM systems
Army got assemble permission of WS-22 MRLS from China. got TOT of many assault rifles and other arms , got TOT of FN-16 manpad.
BD got these submarines with full spare parts production system.
BD airforce aiming to build a trainer aircraft by 2021.

And other so many things

Now you understand what is going on...... and you have to come up with such level of offers
