Massive airport, middle of nowhere, huge resource requirement.

Why?
Isn’t that what many thought of Dubai when it was first set up. especially considering how much of a detour it was from the traditional freight shipping routes. Gwadar is less “in the middle of nowhere” if the rest of Pakistan is managed correctly. An extension of the rail and electric network to Gwadar will make it less then a day’s sailing to Oman.

Dubai wasn't ruled by totally corrupt Treasonous fools.

I don't think this airport will be used by PAF, too hard to maintain opsec with civilians coming and going all the time and having to stop commercial/civilian flights for the military to hold their drills would hurt commercial value. Better to have a military-only airbase in the vicinity instead.

It goes without saying the powers that be will need to see (or have the Chinese investors show them) the writing on the wall to make full use of this port.

This port has a massive deep water bay, and could be fundamental to a route for Chinese goods to and from Africa and the Middle East via Central Asia and Western China, as part of an insurance policy for the malacca dilemma. The second option for this port would be to export goods to and from the Middle East at the fastest speed, combining rail shipping and combining it with the less then a days sailing to the Gulf. This could be useful in shipping fresh food stuffs and other perishable goods.

Building up the ports appeal on these two basis make it potentially invaluable if a secure route to China can be established and maintained. Hence why Pakistan should work with the Gulf Arab countries, Central Asians and China go put pressure on the Afghans to get their act together.

Reserve your disdain for the fool who was adamant that this place deserved an airport long enough to land the A380
Are the taxiways under water at this airport?
Due to floods or poor work?

Gwadar still had some potential when first thought up until it was all bungled. Reserve your disdain for the fool who was adamant that this place deserved an airport long enough to land the A380

Haven't you seen they are making a new runway at Islamabad because:

1- The current second runway is too close to the main runway for parallel ops

2- They want parallel ops

Why the heck do you need parallel ops at Islamabad airport when already the interval time of flights is more than 10 minutes at only select time slots (the 3 AM slots mainly).

Another waste of money.

Don’t you know this falls under the territory of Prince Bilawal of the Bhutto Dynasty? How dare you question their decisions! This is for Bhutto Air Force 1.
All you need to know is kal bhi Bhutto zinda tha aaj bhi Bhutto zinda hai.

If it’s during floods then maybe.
Waderas in sindh during flood broke many canals to flood pooorer areas to save their land.
My moms side whole village was under water in recent floods. There was videos and people seen these waderas on purpose divert water to other peoples land to save their land.
They could have flooded the airport to get more funds from state and save their land.

You're thinking it wrong.

Gwadar airport is an excellent location for silent exfiltration of elites and money laundering. All under the control of the Fascist Mil-stablishment.

When shit hits the fan, you'll be needing both runways operating at 2 flights per minute so the elite can scramble out the country while the poor are fisted day in day out.

Chillout Clutchi, unless you want to get banned again.

Sure. Seems to be the thing here... Allergic to the truth.
