Egyptian military production encompasses everything from light infantry weapons (small arms), ammunition, rockets, vehicles, to tanks among many other things. Today the need to produce military equipment that meets the requirements of the modern battlefield where the soldier and the policeman and elements of civil defense work side by side is incredibly important. For example anti-terror operations require vehicles that are fast and flexible while maintaining adequate armour and high firepower.
In an exclusive interview with the CEO of"Eagles International" Mr. Wael Mubarak, which is an Egyptian company specialized in the production and development of technologically advanced vehicles for civilian and military use, said that what distinguishes the vehicles manufactured by his company is that the vehicles they produce are specifically customised in order to meet the requirements of a military or civilian contractor. He also added that the vehicles produced by the company can work very efficiently in spite of the challenges and risks posed by any operational environment and provides users with safety and high maneuverability.
The company produces 4 by 4 armored cars and buses, military vehicles and light armored personnel carriers, and produce a range of private vehicles to travel off-road, designed according to demand.
The company has expertise in the development and design of light vehicles, which meet various civilian and military needs. Among the most prominent military vehicles the company produces, is the "Panthera" which includes 5 variants, namely:
The "Panthera T6", a lightweight armored personnel carrier, which can accommodate eight passengers and has a 4.0 L V6 engine which runs on gasoline and if required a diesel engine can be installed. This vehicle is equipped with 5 puncture-resistant tires, air conditioning, adjustable seats and can be fitted them with various communications, jamming, and surveillance systems as required by the customer.
It is also equipped with ballistic-protected glass material. The vehicle is protected against fragmentation bomblets and landmines. The vehicle has also been added with stretchers and tools in order to effectively provide first aid for the rescue of wounded personnel on the battlefield quickly.
One of the advantages of the "Panthera T6" is that it can be equipped with additional lights and a cabin controlled camera, it can be also equipped with a remotely controlled machine gun or similar weapon systems, the ability to use slots in the sides and in the back of the vehicles for small arms fire is also available, a slot fitted with a lid arbitrator to enter or exit the vehicle can be added along with other options. The modification possible on this variant is what makes it suitable for use in multiple operational environments, and high risk operations.
For his part, retired Brigadier Naji Golf an expert in internal security and police affairs, said that the protection of civilians, public facilities, and vital infrastructure in order to maintain security in the fight against militants requires advanced wheeled armored vehicles with a high degree of firepower. The "Panthera K10CMD" is provided with stretchers and tools in order to effectively provide first aid for the rescue of wounded personnel on the battlefield quickly. It can also be fitted with surveillance, communications systems and various electronic equipment.
Another variant the"Panthera S8", is a lightweight APC fitted with glass and metal ballistic-protected material, with a speed of up to 90 km/h. It has 5 puncture-resistant tires, provides protection from landmines and fragmentation bombs, and equipped with its predecessors, tools and first aid equipment. It can also be equipped with monitoring systems and communications, and various other electronic equipment.
The "Panthera S10", is an armored personnel carrier which, enjoys the attributes as the "Panthera S8", with the difference that it has a maximum speed of 100 km / h. It is protected against landmines, but is unable to resist fragmentation bombs.
