New Delhi, Mumbai among world's cheapest cities

Mumbai is comparable to Karachi
but surprised about Delhi
Delhi is also in this list maybe bcz of Gang rapes

Karachi is comparable to tier II cities of India, forget comparing to tier I cities like Mumbai, Delhi or Bangalore.

I don't know whether cost of living in Sri Lanka is higher or lower...humm here are my basic monthly bills which I have to take care

Electricity - 3500 LKR
Water - 700 LKR
LP gas - 2450 LKR
Landline - 2500 LKR
Mobile - 1500 LKR
Dialog SAT TV - 1000 LKR
8Mbps Broadband line - 1490 LKR +TAX

1 Indian Rupee = 2.37 Sri Lankan Rupee

LPG is 12.5 kg cylinder per month. (normally around 25 days!)
Normally we use between 180-220 units per month for electricity, if exceed 90 unit mark we have to pay a lot for a unit
We have 4 members in our family.

I think prices are similar
in my part of country
electricity= INR 5.5/kwh
LPG=14kg net wt 450 INR (only 9 allowed /annum)(cheaper than your??)
mobile , TV depends on usage and carrier
Internet 800 INR for 2Mbps (depends on ISP):undecided:
Petrol = 74.50 INR

Electricity - 600 to 900 IR as per season.
Water - free
LP gas - 450 IR
Landline +unlimited broadband (bsnl)- 900 IR
Mobile - 500 IR
DTH TV(with all the chanels available in india) - 500 IR
Patrol- 3200 IR
One family dinner for four in one of the best facility- 1600 IR
some other rates I would like to mention-
Vegetables- between 12 to 40 IR/ kg.
fruits- between 40 to 120 IR/kg
Rice- Low 18 to 25 IR/kg, medium- 35 to 45 IR/kg, very good- up to 80 IR/kg
Chicken dressed - 150 to 180 IR/kg
mutton - 220 to 250 IR/kg
good quality white bread- 18 IR/ 400 gms pack.

Mutton seems so cheap in your city.

LPG seems double than Indian price, why only 9 allowed?
petrol - 159 LKR per liter
Government reduced the broadband tax by 50% last month and 4G LTE went live last months, I'm sure broadband prices and SAT TV prices will go down in the future...
