New Brahmos Test Fails

Bro! it is indian report, so the purpose to share the info about the brahmos's failure. About Babar the whole world knows that its Pakistani product :).
How many times has babur been tested? Brahmos had 20 flawless tests to its credit, Russian ICBMs are the best, yet all of them fail in the initial testing, u kno why?? Well Missiles are tested to exert them to the max, and these failures are good to know the limitations and better the missile!

. .
well Think about it..
Cant the Indians say.. we have a missile tested 20 Times.. and is successful..
They can say Its perfect.. In fact it is .

BUT , There is always something Better than the best.
Now they added something New .
You got to understand that Brahmos is Successful but perhaps this "new" stuff failed
.

You got to acknowledge that Indian dont boast off , they admit the correct fact and they have done it.
Suppose a new version of Babur is tested and it fails .. does it Mean that babur Missile is uselss ? No. The failure is only of the "new tech" that needs improvement. and NOT the Entire babur

This time the new Guidance system is this new tech, Indians dont sleep , they are continously improving their tech..

and when u move i untouched waters surprises and failures are eminent , alternate is to sit on shore with the fear to drown , which Indians never Do.

Babur have been tested many times before its inclusion, so dont worry about that.

& This is a Very old Excuse for a Failure, please try to think another one.
Just remember that, A failure is a Failure, no matter from which side you look at it it will remain a failure.

NEW DELHI: A day after BrahMos missile was test fired, DRDO on Wednesday said there were some minor hitches during the trial which they were looking
into. ( Watch )

There were small hitches in the last stage of the missile during the test, which was conducted in the Pokhran ranges of Rajasthan on a new version of BrahMos missile yesterday, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) officials said.

They indicated that the missile did not hit the target and scientists are looking into it, they said.

The army yesterday test-fired a new version of the nuclear-capable BrahMos missile.

The missile, with a 290-km range and capable of touching a speed 2.8 times that of sound, was launched during the trial in its vertical mode, DRDO officials said.

BrahMos is a missile that India is developing in collaboration with Russia and is named after the river Brahmputra and Moscow.

During the visit of Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov to India late last year, an agreement was reached between the two countries for development of a hyper-sonic BrahMos missile, an improvement on the already-developed supersonic missile, termed as "the most advanced" in its category.

sir i will give you a good example of a failure.
5 consecutive failure by the russians in bulava icbm in less than 2 years.
next ask the americans about russian icbm capability and you will get the answer of a failure

thanx

the grapes must certainly be sour! ;)

moscow, you can see by the link posted by AM, they were testinf some new techs like new guidance mechanism and now "nuclear tipped". Hmm interesting development.

And later it writes "Aims of a LACM with 1500 km of range". Is it implying the BrahMos range is more then 300km?

sir the increase of range is not into the question as you very well know that international laws does not provide the option of legal sale or joint production of nuclear capable missiles with that kind of range.

the capability of brahmos can be enhanced without increasing the range.

thnx

Sir,
thanks for your information, you have impressive knowledge regarding Defense matters and i am witness of it. can you please elaborate why there was a need for "new version" or as earlier report said "new guidance system" right after 20 successful flights . For Old version it remained into testing phase.

.
Since I am not missile expert. I would request anyone to inform, what exactly was the purpose of this test. As they said they were trying for 'Vertical" launch. And also DRDO said launch at inclination was successful. So, they were trying sometime new which failed. Can any one tell what is he benefit of vertical launch ?

.
This test was necessary to check out the new guidance system, and It was not a conventional warhead test, it was done to test out nuclear warhead scenario. I am no expert either, just grasped this by reading the article.
