Or may be the parents are very poor and cannot feed the new born hence in desperation they left the new born alive. This is sick. I dont understand why they need to have a baby in the first place and then leave it to die.
If this is because the baby is a girl child then both the parents should be hanged to death immediately as they have no respect for other human life.

In Pakistani culture, its not uncommon to find (childless) parents taking in and raising the kids of their family/friends/neighbors who for whatever reason may be unable to take care of the child.

In Pakistani culture, its not uncommon to find (childless) parents taking in and raising the kids of their family/friends/neighbors who for whatever reason may be unable to take care of the child.

The rate of adoption is increasing in India too and i have personally known couple of people who have adopted a child as they were childless.
But with the invent of surrogacy, i believe the adoption of parent-less child in grave danger. Though illegal, the surrogacy gives chance to the parents to have their own kid (of their own blood), rather than adoption child of unknown lineage. This is still not happening but I see a rising trend towards it.
