India accuses Pakistan of inciting Sikh radicals NEW DELHI, Oct 17 (AFP): India's top national security official has accused Pakistan of trying to stir up Sikh militancy in East Punjab, reports said on Wednesday. The allegation by National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan came after a bomb blast on Sunday in a packed cinema in Ludhiana that killed six people and injured 32 others. “There has been a manifest attempt in Pakistan to build up a radical Sikh environment,” Narayanan was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency. “We had intelligence that a lot of effort was going into attempts to foment militancy,” he claimed. A home ministry official and the state's former police chief, Kanwar Pal Singh Gill, earlier this week also blamed Sunday's attack on Sikh separatists, who he claimed had links to Pakistan. The allegations come ahead of a scheduled October 22 meeting in New Delhi of Indian and Pakistani officials on efforts to combat cross-border militancy. (Posted @ 11:15 PST)

A good strategy to engage enemy in Kashmir and Punjab

But repurcussions for such strategy should always be in sight.

If seperate kashmir state could be carved then why not Khalistan could be carved out.

I think Pakistan will have to take this step very carefully perhaps in the long term sikh might not demand lahore to be included inthere country.

Anyhow, lets just kick start the khalistan movement and make close ties with them. Everything shoudl be allright.

Proxy wars should be fine for us in taking revenge for our martyred PA brothers at the hands of militants/miscreants. Blood for blood

Revenge is a dish that is best served cold.

Its time now Pakistan should do its homework for khalistan movement and analyze the long term repercussions.

Dear Yarmook,

Time you studied some history. Mr Tara Singh the first leaders of Akalis was responsible for most of the murders of muslims during partition. He was the founder of SGPC which is akin to the vatican. Please read below of his dreams which is the basis of Khalistan. I think history should have now taught you not to have religious states on your border. They spell trouble in the long run.

Tara Singh was invited to represent Sikhs at the Round Table conference at Shimla after the end of the Second World War by the Governor-General Lord Wavell, to ease the political situation in the country, the Sikhs were given representation along with other communities. Tara Singh fiercely argued against the demand of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League to partition India, forcefully reiterating that such a move would irreparable hurt the Sikh community, which was scattered all over the province of Punjab without a majority in any district.

Tara Singh was especially infuriated at the prospect of Sikhs having to leave their most important and holy sites in the Punjab, such as Nankana Sahib, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. He was one of the first leaders to recognize that it would become impossible for Sikhs to continue living in what would become the new state of Pakistan.

The Congress Party assured Tara Singh, Baldev Singh and other Sikh leaders that India would belong to all its religious communities, and the Constitution would be secular. Having established faith and obtained some assurances through dialogue with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Tara Singh and the SGPC backed partition. Tara Singh also began to encourage Sikhs to leave Pakistan, so they could avoid the violence and repression he believed was inevitable.

But when partition came, over one million people, Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims were killed. Millions of Sikh and Hindu families were uprooted from Pakistan. During this period, many alleged that Tara Singh was endorsing the killing of Muslims as retaliation for the murders in Pakistan. When Sardar Patel and the Indian government assured the Sikh leadership that India would not hesitate to fight Pakistan if the violence did not stop, Tara Singh appealed to all Sikhs to stop and prevent all violence, and focus on helping the refugees arriving from Pakistan.

In early 90s indian spread this propaganda that khalistan will include Lahore to scare Pakistanis to stop supporting Sikh's azadi movment.

the sikh nation is built on the myth that it confronts islam and is a vanguard fighting historically against muslim fanatics. the muslims rulers of indiaq over about 1000yrs were not prosthyelsing or killing. muslim delhi never had a muslim majority. the muslims never undertook mass murder, there are no records of mass killing of the hindus et al even in anuls of hindu history.
the sikhs were loyal to the british occupiers but still had the notion that they were defenders of the chastitiy of india? they were widely used against the muslims of delhi during the 1st war of independence in 1857.
sikh history is abound with stories of muslim forces killing their gurus in the most vile fashion, but of course there is no independant sources (similar to the killing of bengalis by the pakistanis) incedentaly it is acknowledged that 1858 on wards 30 million bengalis were killed by famine engineered by the british (christians, peacemakers).
the point im getting at is that the muslims never thought that they were fighting the sikhs in an existantial basis. history shows that when ever the sikhs had an oppertunity they would massacre muslim civilians.
we in pakistan are now not so ignorant about the sikh nation. we would encourage the breakup of india as they are against the existance of pakistan but the sikh dream would be destroyed if they think of lahore etc

What interest are you talking about brother. Read history carefully and you would see that it is India who has been unable to digest the creation of Pakistan so far.
Sikhs or Hindus Pakistan wants to live peacefully but India will have to mend its ways.
Let RAW stop interfering in our internal affairs and stop carrying out bomb blasts and Pakistan does not need to do anything.
