SNH48, splinter group of AKB48, launched in Shanghai
By Ida Torres / October 17, 2012 / No Comments
Popular Japanese girl group AKB48 now has a counterpart in Shanghai as SNH48 was officially formed with 26 trainees chosen as the first generation of the new group. AKB48 is one of the highest-earning and most prolific musical acts in the world and this crop of young girls are aiming to replicate their success, this time in China.
Lest you think that its a piece of cake to be part of this group, all 26 girls have to undergo a rigorous training process before they can call themselves full-fledged members of SNH48. Theyre only the 3rd sister group of AKB48 outside of China, with the first two based in Jakarta and Taipei. They all follow the same philosophy of a performance group thats more accessible to fans with the idols you can meet concept. They will have their own theater in Shanghai called SNH48 Star Dream Theatre where they will have regular performances and numerous activities to allow the fans to get to know and interact with them.
The groups management believes that SNH48 can become a part or even spearhead the Chinese idol culture. Not only that, they also expect the group can have a global impact in 3-5 years and become ambassadors of Chinas positive energy.

China is not an open country.
Sure you will see loan words. After all, only loan words pass along. We will not see a cocktail explosion of Korean or Japanese characters mixed in with our language.
Japan and Taiwan do not use simplified "漢字".Our "漢字" will always have its rightful place in Japan and Korea
There is nothing to be reminded of.- Forever reminding them the origins of their colourful history and beautiful culture.

Korea does not use ""漢字"" at all.
There is nothing to be reminded of.
Any how, Korea is working hard at the cultural invasion of China, ditto for Japan as exemplified this. China's job is to be culturally invaded as it has always been while its attempts to culturally invade others fail miserably thanks to the CCP censorship.
I must say all East Asians: Koreans, Chinese, Japanese etc have lost their culture decades ago. You never see all the people wearing their traditional clothes, speaking their native language, or following a certain religion...
All are now heavily Western influenced.
