At last weekend's "AKB48 Shanghai Fan Meeting," the latest edition of the 48-girl pop music sorority was introduced to the world. Shanghai-based SNH48 is the sixth in the franchise, and the third non-Japanese sister group, following JKT48 from Jakarta, Indonesia and TPE48 (scheduled to debut in this summer) from Taipei, Taiwan.

Producer Akimoto Yasushi is planning auditions for this fall, with a debut tentatively planned for AKB48's 7th anniversary on December 8th.

Bad news for Shanzai idol team AK98, I guess

don't spam the forum with such false title. it's against the forum rules.

Japan is a open society, don't aggrieve yourself again for this kind of persecutory behavior.

All pop music needs to die
Especially from Asia :hitwall:

Well, nothing comes out of China to makes you happy. To the contrary, China's the second biggest victim of the cultural invasion, after Japan.

don't spam the forum with such false title.
It's the correct title, the very cultural invasion that Hu Jintao was decrying the other day.

what you need to do is fix your insular mentals.

this is an open world, the US, where you may stay shortly or longer, is the largest place receiving all culture invasion. music from Africa, Latin Americas, Europe, Asia, and ME, India flourish there.

get out here if you continue talking this kind of spamming garbage.

Culture invasion? ...only few dancers will change nothing to 1.4 billion Chinese mentality....you're too outmode to live in modern world...Introduce Japanese singing style will only give chinese opportunity to Change and learn

Remember this: Chinese like to copy this, copy that...but we never copy other's culture...to radically transform as banana...as Zhou En Lai described Japanese : Yellow skin but white mentality.

So much for your culture invasion....try harder...LMAO

They are not aiming for the elderly, but China's youth in order to instill positive images of Japan to China's next generation.

Surely China does. You missed China's Shanzai AKB48 idol team in the first post.

yeah buddy, listening to music makes you "culturally invaded". not having US forces on your land or a Seoul University professor admit that "we've been subject to 60 years of full spectrum dominance by US forces". nope, it's all about the music.

Per our discussion previously, someone identified him as JayAlt today. I think it has a lot of merit.

You already saw what happened to Chinese women who watch too much Korean drama; they flock to Seoul with tens of thousands of dollars to fix their faces to look Korean, and the Korean plastic surgery industry would go bankrupt without the Chinese clients. This is why Japan was accusing Korea of spending taxpayer's money to spread Korean Wave, and Japan is trying to do the same not against culturally strong Korea, but against culturally weak China.

I must say all East Asians: Koreans, Chinese, Japanese etc have lost their culture decades ago. You never see all the people wearing their traditional clothes, speaking their native language, or following a certain religion...
All are now heavily Western influenced.

Japan's image is positive around the world. what' wrong with that?

Unlike Korea, it's a infamous disgusting word, as we observe.
