not really, i have been to NY many times and i must say it feel special just being in the city. Its scale and beauty are unmatched. A day at central park with a hot dog or pretzel in your hand is as good as you can get. NY is easily one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I lived in NYC, been to all 5 boroughs, Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan!

I prefer the New York of the 80's and 90's though, actually all of US at that time. It was/is my favourite country.

i agree, NY of the 90's was a really nice and peaceful place to live in, now there is a lot of gang related crimes and the crime rate continues to increase

i'll always miss the old NYC

Trust me man you will love the Jackson Heights at 74th Street and Broadway neighbourhood with Bangali, Pakistani, Indian area.

A LOT of bengalis there. Visit regualry there. lot of desi girls as well.

there is a very large Pakistani and Afghan community in Foster ave in brooklyn, Also on Ocean Ave there is a large Russian community.

you think the Bronx is bad? I lived in south Jamaica Queens for 13 years, one can't even step outside without having to worry about getting mugged, shot, or jumped!
