Netanyahu: Let there be no doubt - Palestinian proposal at UN will be rejected

Arab FMs to urge Kerry: Don't veto Palestinian proposal to UN Security Council; Kerry to hold feverish negotiations and meetings over the next few days in Europe to try to reach a compromise on a Security Council proposal.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel would stand up against any possible diplomatic assault at the United Nations, telling ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem that the Palestinian resolution calling for the end to occupation by 2016 would be rejected.

The whole world is supporting peace but two countries. We understand that one country is irrational/colonialist. But most influential country in world which is supposed to uphold fair values across world is being extremely counterproductive and forcing region into more violence. While at same time arming Israel to teeth to crackdown on any future uprisings since they reject peace.

The US should be not be allowed any position in security council if it will continue to derail peace for irrational reasons.

JERUSALEM/ROME (Reuters) - Israel said it hoped the United States would veto any moves at the United Nations to set a time frame for its withdrawal from territory Palestinians seek for a state, but a senior U.S. official said it was too early to say.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Rome on Monday to discuss various proposals for a Palestinian state that are circulating at the United Nations.

Later on Monday, Kerry will travel to Paris for talks with European counterparts and then on to London to meet Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat and a delegation from the Arab League, who will urge the United States not to use its U.N. Security Council veto to block the proposals.

Netanyahu and is his ilk is driving Israel more and more towards pariah status.
I think in 10-15 years time, Israel will be considered more of a pariah than Iran. lol

How funny would it be if US doesn't veto?

I believe the Palestinians are discrediting their legitimacy in Gaza. Just recently Hamas held a military parade showing off a few pickup trucks loaded up with teenage fighters. They bragged about the coming military defeat of Israel. This is not the way to win.

Its a sign for Israel when most European assemblies are passing resolution in favor of Palestinians, un-binding for now and I dont doubt in few years time these will become binding resolutions if Israel dont mend its ways.

The US is the main barrier between peace in the region, from its policy of giving aid to a state bent on butchering innocents to vetoing the right for a state to exist. America in the history books will be known as a cruel and sadistic nation in regards to its policy on the Palestinians.

And what about Israel with more stock piling of weapons and watching the war from afar like it is a show. Or the members of parliament calling for extermination or cleansing. I wonder when the focus turns from pick ups with teenagers in Gaza to children painting on bombs in Israel.

Israel is in a completely different category, it has successfully defended itself against a much larger and stronger enemy (the Arabs who fought Israel were not human shields like in today's conflicts)... Israel is not much different from Pakistan in many ways... the Palestinians though are sheer out of luck and clever ideas. They need to be diplomatic instead of making demands and trying to enforce them through human shields and indiscriminate rocket fire.

The past does not justify the present. The weak Israel is a myth and you know that well. The way it has treated people has been pointed out by every human rights commission there is. They have gone from preserving who they are to massacring others. You expect to be accepted in the world you act like humans. The day you can label the parliamentarians who have called for extermination and killing of Palestine terrorists is the day you can come to the same morale level as the rest of the world, till then Israel is a nation of killers in the eyes of pretty much the whole world.

What do you seriously expect from a "nation" and people whose resources, opportunities and support is not even 1/10th of the one that Israel gets or has?

From what I know about then those rockets (or firecrackers as some call them) have killed less than 25 Israelis in the past dozens of years. So they are very much pointless. Yet what are the people supposed to do? Accept shelling, killings, illegal settlements, random searches, living in open prisons etc.? The list is enormous. The vast majority already do but some are not willing to accept that without a fight. I won't look down upon them as I cannot imagine their situation and I cannot guarantee that I would myself not adopt such a tactic. At least to show defiance.

In hindsight it was also pathetic and senseless according to some that several uprisings took place in Nazi occupied Europe (for instance the heroic Warsaw Uprising) as the Nazis were much stronger and many more people were killed afterwards but there is also something called honor here in life. The will to fight against injustice, for God and Fatherland etc. Those might be empty words for some people today but not for the Palestinians and many other people that face serious obstacles.

I do agree that the Palestinians need another approach but it's a whole different discussion and a very difficult one to take.

In any case even if all Palestinian fractions abandoned violence in any form or shape I very much doubt that their legitimate demands would be met by the Israeli regime.

Hamas can do whatever it wants in its territory. And adult men aren't teenagers. They didn't brag about anything, they warned Israel from launching assault near US elections time which is usual Israeli plan.

Hopefully they don't kidnap any Israelis then ;)

One more troll propaganda post and you'll be banned. This section is for mature people. If you can't grow up then this is wrong place for you.

Obvious false-flagger and troll. Just joined today as well but is already well-versed about users, various sections etc. Seems to have a grudge against us Arabs. Probably a false-flagger from the ME. Either Farsi or Turk. Caught him doing simple spelling mistakes that no native Brit would make.

Don't bother him bro. He has been spreading Islamophobic rhetoric in other threads as you saw in that other thread dealing with that Farsi terrorist that was gunned down in Sydney.
