The Patriot system that was deployed near Abqaiq oil refinery in Saudi Arabia was equipped with a single radar system having 120 degree FOV - this radar system was facing Yemen. Iran exploited this loophole to attack Abqaiq oil refinery in 2019.

Russian S-300 and S-400 systems are equipped with several radar systems that collectively provide 360 degree FOV. Russia, US and Israel had an understanding on the issue of not toppling Assad regime. But there were situations in which US felt the need to attack infrastructure of Assad regime, and Israel was more likely to engage Assad regime due to its focus on attacking Iranian supplies to Hezbollah and Assad regime.
