Nothing stopped British to "take care" of Gandhi before he became "popular"....

BTW do you know How many "Mercy petition" did Bhagat singh file with the British courts ?

Only in the last one did he give up hope and decided to embrace death since there was no scope of him being released.

He wanted a quick death by shooting and not a slow painful death by hanging.

The vision of a 21 year old boy is not worth much. Its just a dream of a dying man.
