Hi,
I wanted to buy a camera but i'm unable to decide Whether to buy a DSLR or Bridge Camera.
My budget is around $450 or Rs.45k
I was looking at some entry level DSLR's and Bridge Cameras but can't decide which one to buy.
Olympus Stylus SP100
Fujifilm S1
Nikon D3200
Nikon D3300
Canon SX60

Kindly suggest which one should i go for.

Dude buy a point and shoot first. When you get hold of it. Then get a DSLR. cannon is offering lot lower price on DSLR compared to Soni point and should. I suggest go work Sony point and shoot and then Sony Alfa series. Best buk for money. Regards

Sony Alfa is a good choice then. See your budget and go for upgrade. But one thing get the lence over the basic. Don't buy a combo with 35-70. Go for better. Likes of 70-350 and buy second hand 35-70

Hi
Depends on what type of photography you do. If you are a lot into high quality pics, then DSLR is a good option. Nikon D3300 is good entry level dslr. I would recommend you to buy Sony A6000 or Sony RX100 MIII / IV. I have had a Nikon D810 for quite some time but due to too much travelling, I selected Sony RX1R mark II. and since then most of the pics I shoot are with RX1R because of its compact size and image quality.

If you travel a lot then go for light camera like Sony A6000, it is mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses like DSLR (Sony RX1R II may be out of your budget as it is around US $3300 new, but you may get RX1R (the previous version) used for around US $1000-1500 if that's your thing) but Sony A6000 is very cheap and you can get for around $700 at Best Buy with 16-50 mm lens, a pretty good for most travel photography since it is on wide side. Then you can add lenses later on especially the primes like 35, 50, 85, 200 at f/1.4 T. A zoom of 70-200 can be great for portraits and landscape.

I told him the prices but I'm not sure if he can purchase from Amazon, Best Buy or eBay from Pakistan directly so I'm not sure if these prices are valid there since all my family members ask me to bring these goodies from US that perhaps means these are cheaper here.

well my first reaction after I saw the prices was "They are out of my range" :P
Except A6000 :P
You can't go wrong with A6000, I did not own it but I had borrowed from a friend and I was quite happy. The only caveat is the focus for moving subjects especially when they are moving towards you..and that's the limitation of mirrorless cameras in general but if you are not too much in sports or wild life photography, you will be fine with it. For wild life and sports Canon 7D mark II or Nikon D500 are great cameras but again those are a bit expensive.

Which one of these camera's would be good if one wants to make short videos for YouTube?
