He sure got owned alright! His whole point is that China adds an entire India, economically, every 2 years. Indians have no response to that so they completely ignore that most uncomfortable yet telling statistic and proceed to pat each other on the back for a job well done. Meanwhile, China increases its lead over India. But at least Indians have wishful thinking and moral victories.

India like to compare with others with forecast numbers. Such as in 2030, India would have the fastest growing economy. Then almost all Indians would give that poster a thumbs up. So if you want to see how far ahead of India vs country X this yearyou better dig up a 2008 article. Similarly, this year, India is ahead of others in 2016 or 2020.

With Indians, it's always next year. Or the next five years. They're always good at bragging. When it comes to actually doing, not so much. And that's why China added an entire Indian economy over 2 years while the Indians are gleeful over the fact that they barely grew in that same 2 year span. I mean, they grew right? Moral victories and all that. Unfortunately, moral victories don't buy indoor toilets nor infrastructure. And they certainly don't buy what every inferiority complexed Indian wants - white servants.
