I don't know about the Varna system. Let us ask @Smarana Mitra about this.

But the Caste system is very prevalent in India. I will give the example of a Dalit groom who was passing through his village on a horse as part of his wedding celebration. He was forced by upper caste people to get down from the horse. Or there is the well known case of the Hyderabad University Dalit student Rohith Vemula who committed suicide in 2016 after having being harassed by the university officials on caste reasons.

So things have not changed in the few thousand years since the creation of the Caste System in India, even when leaders like Gandhi and Ambedkar worked for removal of the Caste System.

In India, education is not meant for providing enlightenment but just a means to get employment. Which is why the BJP found mass support in the urban areas in the general elections of 2014 and 2019. Also, there is the RSS student wing called ABVP which is the opponent of Leftist student movements.

In 1989, the former Prime Minister V.P. Singh, when in PM office, began implementing Reservations ( positive discrimination ) in educational institutions for Backward Classes ( Dalits and tribals ) but he faced severe opposition from Upper Caste students, especially Brahmins.

Dalits were the result of Islamic invasion. Prior to Islamic invasion there were no dalits.

Dharma is socialist in nature. The degradation of dharma has nothing to do with the principles of dharma itself. In fact, Capitalism is a recent innovation that is about 300 year old.

How is education to provide enlightenment reduce BJP power? If at all, that would mean that BJP type parties would have had government from 1950s itself if people git enlightened.

Why wouldn't anyone oppose reservation? What purpose will caste based reservation serve at all? If it was reservation on merit like poverty, it is another issue.

They were not following Abrahmic religion at all. Prophet Abraham is famous for destroing idols and qureshing were keeping more than 300 idols in Kaaba.

So yes Quresh were decendent of Abraham just like Jews and Christian but were not following his teachings.

Most ridiculous proposition, to say the least. For a change, read Chapter 9 of Volume 1 of "Al-Biruni's India", which is translation of his works on India, written in circa 1000 AD, prior to attacks by Ghaznavi. He gives a whole list of the people, who were outside the Varna/Caste system of Hinduism, called "Antyaja" in those times. These people were not allowed even to live within the village, but outside of it. These were considered even lower than the "Sudra".
