Nawaz terms accountability as revenge against Sharif family

Nawaz said that how he can get sentence when the allegations against him are baseless.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has said that NA-154 Lodhran by-election, in which Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerged victorious, was answer to all the fake cases filed against him.

Talking to media, Nawaz Sharif asked that on which grounds, he is being subjected to political revenge and that till how long he has to appear in the court. Those who had filed references against us only want to punish me, he added.

Sharif said that Pakistani nation is representing his case by trusting PML-N. Country’s economy was taken to its maximum during the reign of PML-N, he said.

He said that how he can get sentence when the allegations against him are baseless.

Ex-PM further asked why the court is not arresting those who imposed Martial Law in the country and detained judges.

Earlier today, accountability court adjourned the hearing of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references against Sharif family without any proceeding.

Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar appeared in the court but Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer Amjad Pervez skipped the hearing due to the demise of noted lawyer and human rights actvitist Asma Jahangir.

An exemption plea for two weeks from February 19 was also submitted by the accused, seeking permission to fly London to meet Kulsoom Nawaz, who is undergoing medical treatment.

Summoning four witnesses, the court has adjourned the hearing till February 15.

It is a revenge and it is termed as selective justice. No one in the country is ready to accept that Zardari is Sadiq and Ameen while NS is not. Musharraf has treason and corruption charges but there is no justice for him . Similarly the judge with panama offshore companies is still a judge and for judiciary there is no accountability system . In this scenario the selective justice is very easy to be termed as revenge.

If you could take off your spectacle of anti Nawaz, i have only mentioned the reasons why NS panama case is being termed as revenge. Why selective justice creates sympathy for NS or any other politician. I was not interested in discussion on the pros and cons of panama case.
