Nawaz Sharif gives illegal extension, despite ban by SC

Sure, but only if you promise not to mix poison in it!

Jokes aside, the key to any national process of change begins with education. As long as we don't have good education, nothing will follow.

aaaahhh.... you just know what I was thinking... :sarcastic:

seriously, ajao, I will be there in an hour.. :)

p.s.

100% agree, Education, quality syllabus wali education is the key to "change"

I know.

And if I were not a Turraantau, I would join you for a cup of tea and have a nice discussion.

Back to the topic Sir:

Anybody can claim that things will be different, but the reality is that most of the mechanisms to produce the changes we require are simply non-existent. Change will come only after we have created the basics first. This trying to run before knowing how to walk only ensures that we fall flat on our faces, time and again.
change was there & we were progressing as a nation, but thn some of us saw a dream sent by the same political leaders in power, just to rule us, we all became victims of our own goddam dreams?

PM approves extension to envoy despite SC ban

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given the first illegal extension, completely in violation of the Supreme Court judgements, to a Foreign Service officer who was already on extension given by the previous PPP government.

The PM office has officially confirmed the extension given by the PM. The surprise decision was revealed on Thursday when the Foreign office disclosed that the new government had given yet another extension to Mrs Fauzia Abbas Mufti, Pakistani Ambassador to Denmark.

Officials explain that officers who have powerful connections with the political elite always succeed in getting prized foreign postings during every government and slogans to uphold rule of law and principles are mere election jingles.

Mrs Mufti was already on a two-year extension because of her close links with the previous PPP government. She also continued during the tenure of caretaker government. According to sources, now the new prime minister on an alleged recommendation (Sufaarish) of a “power”ful minister approved another extension for her.

The PM office when approached by The News replied and officially confirmed the extension in following words, “She is given extension till December 2013 under ‘special circumstances’”. However, ‘special circumstances’ were not elaborated by the PMO. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, foreign office spokesperson when approached by The News showed his ignorance about any such development. However other top officials of ministry of foreign affairs confirmed the extension.

The Supreme Court in many of its judgements has declared that no extension would be given until unless there is absolutely no alternative to the person. However, in the present many senior career diplomats are facing discrimination by successive political regimes and are deprived of their deserved foreign postings.

Sub chor hain, haram khor hain
mulk dushman hain, zameer farosh hain
look all the woman MNAs from PMLN are relatives of main sahab group
look at half the woman MNA's in KPK are relatives of Mr khatak, yet fozia qusoori has no place
mil bant ke khao aur bachoon ko lalu banao
naya Pakistan is just like Purana Pakistan

All the slogans about Roshan or Naya Pakistan are only slogans. The reality will be very similar no matter who is in power.

Develop institutions that serve Pakistan instead of political lordships, then there won't be a need for any slogan. We need an IG that can stand up to the biggest politicians, we need teachers who love imparting knowledge (not gathering money) and we need a judiciary who believes in justice (not mere wakaalat). Once we get these, the system will work out the flaws itself and no need for slogans and Roshan Pakistan

@batmannow sahaab, TuQ ko vote to milna nahi hai.... saath mai PTI ko lekar doobo gey kya?

I'm glad PTI got to handle KPK. It's situation is dangerous and volatile. But if... IF... PTI can handle this, it will become a beacon for other provinces to follow. PTI will emerge as the example other parties will follow.

Already N.Sharif and PML(N) have started acting more mature because they know who's winning next time if they don't perform.

PS: Your signature says: "Lets Librate PDF From the Illegal occupation of PTì fan boys!"

I'm no fanboy sir, I had decided to support PTI's outspoken opposition to corruption. Nobody else has worked on this and nobody else had presented any feasible outline for Pakistan's progress. Only PTI did that. Other parties ranted about this but only PTI drew up a tangible plan of action. That's the reason for my support to their stance.
