Err.. that might have been the problem. He was probably full of beer when he taught history. A bit of booze can quickly change defeat into a victory. The hangover is a bit of a pain though. Facing up to reality is not everyone's cup of tea.

We do not want Pakistan controlled Kashmir , and more so not by force ... We expect the same from you too to leave us alone with our portion of kashmir , so lets maintain status quo and convert LOC as IB rather than talking of slicing or chopping Kashmir as one of your Pakistani member friends was mentioning in his posts

US can afford supplies for its troops even if the route is closed.
This has been openly declared by NATO.

My point is put a fare price tag and let NATO decide if it fits their pocket.
