LONDON: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday announced to launch a nationwide movement against the Supreme Court verdict which cleared opposition leader Imran Khan of accusations of failing to declare assets, ARY News reported.

Addressing media outside his London residence before departing for Lahore, the former premier said that verdict by the Supreme Court vindicates his stance that he “will be disqualified in the cases against Imran Khan and Jahangir Khan Tareen”.

Sharif criticised the superior judiciary by saying that the apex court has given a clean chit to those who owned offshore firms, while his ‘imaginery’ salary was declared an asset and he was disqualified.

“They considered it my imaginary salary as an asset, while Imran owned Niazi services offshore firm and did transactions but was cleared,” he said adding that there are videos in which Imran admits owning the offshore company.

“Yesterday’s verdict proves our stance was right. There are seperate parameters of justice for us and for them, ” he said in strong worded diatribe against the Supreme Court.

He said the verdict speaks for itself and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) will launch a nationwide movement at any cost as this trend cannot be tolerated.

“We will pay whatever price we have to but this cannot be tolerated.”

The top court on Friday dismissed a petition to disqualify cricketer-turned-politican Imran Khan as an MP, months after former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was removed from parliament by the court on similar charges.

“No dishonesty or omission can be attributed to (Khan). This petition has no merits and is hereby dismissed,” Chief Justice Saqib Nisar told the court while delivering the verdict in the case.

This nation have no idea.. what's wrong with them. They all think their salvation is in democracy and politics.
Whereas trut/*h is exact opposite.. they will only progress when they hang all politicians and Imran Khan should be early in number.
Actually, Pakistan was functioning alright, until he introduced movement against Pervez Musharraf's govt.

Unlike the reality, NS and Zardari both are gifts from generals ... I am no found of politicians and infact of democracy as well but army has no solution in fact they are the part of the problem ...

The only solution is cleansing of the politicians and strengthening of all the institutes and bureaucracy ... Pakistan was performing better before Bhutto as bureaucracy was strong and Pakistan was prospering ... We need to assign the job to the person as per capabilities ... Armed forces are not capable to run the government and nor does the politicians are ... to run the country is the job of technocrats whereas politicians or parliamentarian job is to make law and policies to protect the interest of people ... Government job is to oversee the laws and policies are being implemented infact they are sort of governance on bureaucracy whereas institute has to implement the policies of government ... extra powers given to ministers and MNAs and MPs are route cause of all problems ... PMLn is imploding and stalwarts are resigning or distancing themselves fromit.

The decision on Hudaibya Paper Mill case has created a deep divide in the house of Shaeefs.
Shabaz Shareef has been given a clear message: "if you play the game right, you can save your own political future". Shahbaz Shareef has no option now. If he creates any problems, the NAB will launch another application in SC, along with the evidences that were missing this time.

As he was nit a reaident at that time therefore he was nit legally not required to disclose the property ... By resident means a person who spwnds 180 days or more in Pakistan in a given financial year ...

NS case was entierly different ... He had a case of corruption and as per law he had income beyond rhe declared sources which is already proven so he is already guilty however in supreme court he try to hide behind techincal issue that supreme court is not a trial court and cannot run the case therefore supreme court despite if having healthy evidence against him for corruption was unable to punish or expose him due to technical or legal difficulties ... However using same technical and legal plea supreme court punishes NS for technical mistake ...

Bottomline is IK and NS cases are entierly different and the decision of both the cases are as per law ...
