For import & assembling part let me enlighten you that SAIL & an Indian private steel producer are making steel(special A/B grade for stealth purpose) for Indian naval ships. Sail provides steel primarily for bigger tonnage warships & private one for lesser tonnage ships. Delays resulted from design inputs from the Naval Design Bureau (NDB) for the weapons suite, specification changes to the hull steel and delays in delivery of high-strength D-40S steel from Russia. To overcome the lack of steel supply, DRDO and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) indigenously designed and developed the AB-grade steel required.

1.there r 2 aircraft carriers india has ordered one is Vikramaditya(admiral gorshkov) from russia
Another one is IAC 1 which is under construction in india

2.the entire steel for hull of IAC 1 is being provided by Sail,India

3.both of the ship(the IAC 1 n the frigates) r being constructed in india only
Infact very soon work on IAC 2 which is a 65,000 tonne ship will also be started.

4.project 17a is atleast 60% indigenous n even most of its weapons r indian joint ventures

I hear that the SAM will not be fully indigenous.

AFAIK the radar in P-17A will be the same as the P-15A and IAC-1 ie an IAI 3D AESA EL/M-2248 MF-STAR Multi-mission radar so not indigenous at all and the SAM will be the BARAK-8 which is a JV between India and Israel so indigenous input on system is open for debate.

You don't know what you're talking about. Russia didn't give that too India(happy they didn't). Even though it delayed the IAC, India made it in house.


As far as the armaments. It's going to be joint venture like the brahmos and barak 8, with will be made in India. And Nirbhay cruise missile will be DRDO only.

I am sure that if you look closely, you will find that the indigenous people are not homogenous and look different. Not to mention that the air itself is foreign in origin, having flowed in from the Arabian Sea, or from the nearby countries with a
Tibetan ethnic background. The water, of course, all water in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, is Chinese in origin, since China adopted Buddhism centuries ago, therefore the Buddha is clearly Chinese, leading to the inevitable conclusion that all Buddhists are Chinese, even though the Peoples Republic has not taken over administrative responsibilities over them yet.
