Navy says no to second hand warships

Its not some secret the most probably India will be its buyer and France too had put pressure with its negotiations for the 36 rafales . Till now India waited for the settlement reach conclusion and now it did. So i guess India will be happy to get 2 LHD un short time and go for another 4 built in India. In no time we will have 6 LHD.

Does Indian navy plans to operate big hovercraft (can't remember the name) .. like Russians and china to transport men and tanks for assault ?

i think we have some 4 -5 am not sure.

They are small hovercraft use by Coast Guard can't be compared with Giant hovercraft which could accommodate 100s of soldiers and Tanks

IN doesn't have only the Coast Guard have them.. total order was i think 15 from UK

Although Army is looking to buy some of them to use in the rivers along the chinese border

Navy is not interested.. may be it doesn't fit into their doctrine. and we're already building 4-6 Landing utility craft in 830 ton.
