I'm sorry to barge in here , don't u think Pakistan should change its doctrine to a counter offensive one rather than having a offensive defensive like it has right now?
Under Cold start IA has to launch an attack with in 48 hours with having limited or no defence and its stupidity to meet head on for both of the forces . So its logical Pakistan needs to have a strong defensive line followed by an equally strong counter offensive (if they take out IA's spearhead attacks) something similar to our Sundarji doctrine. Plus its not even that difficult to lay a defense against Cold Start as it lacks surprise in order to attack within 48 hours with lighting speed its obvious IA has to attack from Thar or maybe Gujrat .
IMHO Nasr is doing some serious damage to to PA and PAF's image.
1: Still stuck with the "Cold Start"....which has actually become cold feet due to Pakistan's full spectrum defense strategy? Time to catch up with "today", that is, November 6th, 2015!! The Cold Start had ended when Pakistan operationalized a plethora of short range defense systems in 2014.
2: 48 hours are too much time for Pakistan. Its a much smaller country with limited area. The Cold Start concept was used in 2008. But it failed miserably. The IA and the IAF weren't able to attack Pakistan as she'd put 75% of her air-force within 40-80 KM of the border within 36 hours.
Before the 48 hours could finish, the Pakistanis were flying CAPs with "hot" missiles at lower altitude to evade Indian radars. This is when the PM of India's statement came out that "Pakistan was war mongering"!!
3: There is no surprise in anything. There is just way too much EI and HUMINT available on either side that the second you move 20 tanks altogether, the other side knows. So any war will end in a "madness protocol" where Flash Lights will be used. The big flashy ones.
So my advise, grow your country economically. Neither India is a superpower, nor her GDP is even bigger than even the UK (let alone Germany, China and the US). And obviously Pakistan is much smaller area and people wise. So when a war will destroy you both equally (specially India's growth for 20+ years, and Pakistan's current government's efforts for 3 years now), why even think of it or try to do it. I am concerned about Modi as these guys are really playing crazy inside India, but when he leaves and sane heads come to power on both sides, I think the war between India and Pakistan is out of the picture. All Cold Starts or Feet have really failed. Time to build people to people relationships and friendships!!
