China's greatest achievement is Adobe Photoshop

when ever there is some thing designed first it is imagined.then its Transfered on to paper and after that the research and development starts(all research is put on paper).finally it becomes a reality.it is impossible for the team to work on it if it is in some ones head as an idea.
unless its done differently any where else that iam not aware of even the Americans do it this way.

Dude,

Its a joke, and at the same time a reality, there are a lot of photoshopped images coming out of China, Some of them are way beyond their techinical capabilities. Some of them are good projects. But most of them are wishful dreamings by Chinese military enthusit, I recently saw a Tu-22M3 with chinese marking, guess what it was photoshopped.

this thing is really similar to the EF-2000. the chinese copy a lot of things maybe they are trying to the EF-2000

Since the Chinese are in the process of modifiying/making/acquiring an aircraft carrier, would it be feasible to consider the potential twin-engined J-10 as a carrier-based aircraft?

.
The PLAN is starting to use the JH-7 and JH-7A strike aircraft for maritime strike missions; would this constitute a potential replacement for the current PN (PAF) aircraft? Would hte JH-7 be a possible replacement for the A-5C (even though multirole J-10s may be used, the JH-7 is a dedicated strike aircraft)?

.
having so many different weapons systems is a logistical nightmare. the ideal situation would be land based dedicated a/c for naval support and strike. a navalised JF-17 would be my choice to replace the mirages which carry the exocet-ASM.
PN does not have in its strategic doctrine the acqusition of a aircraft carrier.

It is useless to go for something or to wait for something that is still on the drawing board. Pakistan either should go for modified naval version of the JF-17 or then go for the Rafale. Both the options seem realistic. Other then that, to wait and see how the weapon gets developed is a wate of time, because one never knows when pakistan might be placed under sactions again, now we have the time, we should go for the lastest weapons available in the market rather for going cheap craps.

Rafael is an Israeli defence firm. Rafale is a french aircarft (in your avatar), just something which is missed by many. Anyways, JF-17 has been picked as a main naval strike fighter.

ice cold, a sqdn of rafale's (18 a/c) would cost a prohibitive US$ 1.5 bill plus ground infrastructure for them. our country cannot afford them. no loans/subsidy from france like the usa!
18 JF-17s would cost ~ US 450 mill. for 1.5 bill we could have 3 naval strike sqdns based at masroor/gwadar.

Perhaps fatman. That is the reason i meationed either JFs or rafale. But JFs will be the most practical option as yet for the PN as webmaster also said that JF will be the prime selection for PN strike role and it has been selected but i am not sure about 3sqdns, i was aware about only one.

.
just making my point price-wise ice-cold. is one sqdn going to be enough now that we will have 2 major ports to keep open for maritime shipping. karachi and gwader.

Rafale is a true MRCA and one single squadron of 18 jets should be enough to defence our 1000km long coastline. I'm not an expert like Sir Murad, Keys or Blain but a typical formation usually includes atleast two types of aircraft, i.e. 4 Rafales and 8 Thunders. A Naval Air Arm of 18 Rafales and 36 Thunders should be good for now.
