Hope so bro, would love to see either a couple of type 39 subs or a couple of type 54a frigates in the BDN to replace some the older 50 vintage stuff. I hope to eventually see BDN with the following added...

2 type 39g subs
2 type 54a frigates
4-6 type 56 corvettes
8 type 22 missile crafts

1. BN will not going to buy another Chinese Submarine so soon other then off the shelf kilo in 2019.
2. BN looking for 2 OTS Jiangwei II class frigate. & for new frigate BN should go for Incheon class mk.2/DW-3000H.
3. 2 Type 56 corvettes will be built locally in near future after building durjoy class locally

There would be no OTS Jiangwe II frigate. PLAN will increase its fleet so any ships with life less than 20 years will not be sold.

I don't think the Russian deal will change. We already got our mi 171helis, and anti tank missiles. I am not sure if APCs have arrived yet.

What BDforever say its true. Russian loan for army, air force. Chinese loan for navy. The timing of the deal is not that significant as for the past few months we have been hearing news about getting new bases, subs and equipment.

I seriously have doubt about Russia abilities to execute the deal russia signed with Bangladesh previously. That is before the ruble collapse and massive oil price drop. The russia now cannot afford long term loan to sustain profit. They need hardcash now. I think that is the reason why Bangladesh quickly signed another USD 1 billion soft loan military deal with China. I hope Bangladesh drop the Yak-130 advance trainer and instead go for China L-15 trainer.

I hope we go for actual fighter jets than trainers. Our Air Force is a joke.
