NATO will never win Afghan war

We won. Taliban not in power, Bin Laden dead. (despite best attempts by our "friends"). They can come back into power as far as I am concerned. We were attacked, our enemies found we will do more than issue "statements" and "warnings", we have a far larger foot-print in the area. Done.

yea right..keep telling yourself that :D

.
Again the question is "Do they need to do so? " no....

They came here for bases which they are going to place till 2024 atleast. So they will continue this game inside paksitan or outside paksitan till 2024.So those paksitanis who think and hope for some miracle after 2014 are delusional.Game will enter in second phase after 2014 but the targets will be same ;)

Osama has been killed.

Most of Al Qaeda is either killed or in tatters.

Taliban has been brought to the dialogue table where it is willing to share power with the Northern Alliance people.

US now has permanent bases in Afghanistan and a palatial Embassy under construction in Pakistan from where God knows what they will do in the coming days.

Any leftover threats are being taken care of on as-is basis by the drones.

I'm sorry what else a victory is?

P.S. Actually this is funny. Pakistanis call 1965, even Kargil, a victory but will still say that the NATO has lost in A'stan.

Indian economy needs all the energy it can get, but we will be making sure that does not happen. ;)
And i thought this thread was about NATO and Afghan war..!!!:disagree:
attopic : Taliban is not an army, it is a thought in the minds of some people and it is supported by some stupids. Doesn't matter how powerful u r, u can't defeat a thought in mind of any person. So just kill as many talibani u can and get out of Afghanistan as soon as possible and alow some other powers to take control and try there luck.

Well my Russian guest, if you truely are Russian, Russia needs to ditch India and support Pakistan's, Afghanistan's, and Myanmar's entry into SCO.

If US leaves afghanistan, the plans of SCO would take a great leap forward

I think that is probably the best for Afghanistan

What makes NATO think Pakistan will allow a pipeline from Central Asia into India?

Pakistan will never allow this to happen.

Then people will take SCO seriously.

I think Pakistan would provided Pakistan's terms were met

I do not see any reason to ditch india. More like india-pakistan need s to solve kashmir dispute settlement.

If India wants to attain its full potential and for Indian companies to compete with China India needs to be able to get oil gas at same price. This will only happen through pipelines. So eventually Indian companies will push India to do a deal with Pakistan on more favourable terms than Mushy plan. Or that's the theory

Mate look at the effect it has had on your economy. The attack on the twin towers was symbolic. The target was chosen as hitting the heart of capitalism. As we currently have a systemic failure Pax America's future looks to be on the decline.

(btw Juice do some Americans eat babies lol)

You are only partially correct.

You are assuming that among India and Pakistan, it's only India that wants to grow.

Only India can offer Pakistani industry the market of 1.2+ billion.

China will never buy Pakistani products (seriously? even we can't compete with them ) and anyways Karakorum is way too unreliable with India sitting at Siachen.

I do, but it's a life-style choice. (figuratively, of course)

I am not so sure. A future elected govt could potentially rescind any agreement US makes with Karzai. It is common for collaborators normally get kicked.

I think there are currently some several thousand Chinese soldiers engineers who are working on the infra structure in the NE and also I dont know if you noticed Gwador has been taken over by Chinese

if US had limited its operational objective in this area to killing osama and kicking out the arabs from afghan, then indeed it has won. but then, if anglo-americans made a habit of not being too grabby and too greedy and not see afghanistan itself as a strategic prize with which to blackmail russia and china and most importantly pakistan, then they would have gotten more friends in the region and not so vehemently hated, would they?

so US, being its vicious, evil self, will never win in afghanistan.
