NATO to keep forces in Afghanistan until the Taliban uprising is extinguished

Same old Same old.. US will chicken out of here in coming years leaving NATO to deal with the mess US created.. And we will see Iraq episode in Afghanistan..

. .
NATO is a toothless tiger in Afghanistan. Pakistan won't mind even if NATO remains there till day of judgement.
Taliabans knows how to handle these pupits.
NATO is the only force that have the firepower and experience to keep Taliban at bay and its growth under check in Afghanistan. They ousted Taliban from power in 2001 and have killed 35000 militants so far. They have also contributed to Pakistani anti-terrorism efforts from time to time, killing some of the greatest members of TTP for us through drone strikes and rescuing Pakistani individuals who were held captive inside Pakistan for political reasons.

NATO should remain committed to Afghanistan for years to come and make utmost efforts to address its problems. Afghanistan have suffered tremendously from wars in recent years and it is the collective responsibility of the entire world to help it stand on its feet again. However, road to recovery is far from easy.

. . .
I guess US is demanding it's pound of flesh from freeloading Europe+Turkey in lieu of defending Europe+Turkey from reloaded, reinvigorated Russia.

NATO's presence in Afghanistan suits none other countries more than it suits India in the region. Now we can play our role in stabilizing Afghanistan more freely.

Not a good news for Pakistan. NATO/US will only continue to lean on Pakistan to seek a balance to its influence/clout in the region. As it is Pakistan is really not helping itself vis a vis its relations be it with NATO/US and more importantly its neighbours (afg, ind, iran). Pakistan will have To backdown from its current policies and seek to moderate it with the realities and dynamics otherwise there will be troubles waiting for it ahead.

Bad news for Pakistan..after all the support they gave to Taliban just to ensure that Afghanistan becomes a vassal for Pakistan, their wish will remain unfulfilled as long as NATO stays.
With Taliban's still controlling 70% of Afghanistan, who cares how long NATO continue to stay in Afghanistan.

Spoken like a true keyboard warrior, lots of empty rhetoric, but no foothold in reality.
I am amazed with your confidence.
We have seen how Americans and NATO forces failed in Afghanistan after 15 years.

Taliban are still there and controlling 70% of afghanistan. Whereas the afghan gov limited to just 4 or 5 cities.

Can you elaborate where you got those stats ( 70 %) ? Would be nice to back those stats up.

Actually excellent news for Pakistan. As long as NATO stays in Afghanistan, they will target TTP and will not allow Afganistan and TTP alliance to spread terror in Pakistan which they are doing through Baloch rebels.

Whatever you wrote in the post is your biaseness speaking. Nothing to do with current Pakistani thinking being prevailing inside our own country.

Taliban was the only way for Afghanistan to become unified and peaceful again. Now with NATO its guaranteed that the war will keep on endlessly just like in other countries that there were interventions "to bring peace and democracy". And of course the argument is the same always. "Omg we must not leave Somalia which we occupy since 2006 because now we are on the verge of defeating the terrorists. We cant spoil our battlefield successes". This is called neo-colonialism. Welcome to the 21st century were Americans do exactly what their British cousins did in the 19th century: Endless wars for profit

We're pretty comfy with status quo....... we'll just turn up the heat for them a little bit now.............

That depends on Pakistan.

How long does it want, NATO to sit in its backyard.

Abhi takk to talees ko control nahi karr sakay......... humm parr bheee aazmaa lein! :D

They can pack their bags and leave anytime, but when they turn up the heat on Pakistan, where will you go?
