You don't raise stakes when all the cards are stacked against you. While NATO supply line was Pakistan's single trump card.. US had many under its disposal. Be it AID, IMF or influence on Saudis to handover Indian suspect. Pressure was too much.. Pakistan just couldn't sustain it any longer.

Spot-on! Almost every headline that I read in the past 24 hours had these words "US applogizes...." I dare any one to find those words in the past couple of decades that the US may have offered to any nation (of course within a span of couple of months of an incident)! NOT EVEN ONE.

Mate there are no permanent allies or permanent enemies. It's just that our interests and their interests (at this particular point in time) don't match. So doing the basic political math, if their interests and our interests don't match, then what are we to each other? At the moment, we are just trying to avoid each other in the most decent manner possible. Giving it any additional emotional dimension or spicing it up, will not help anyones case.

It was not just Hillary's phone.It was the result of extensive dialogue.Furthermore Militay was well on board.
