NATO had "thrown up their hands" in their defense of preventing civilian casualties. They had no control in conducting this war. Civilians have always been victims in wartime. There seems to little, if any concern for innocents regardless of the lip service that is being paid to victims by US and NATO. War planners care little of civilians as long as their objective is met.

The exact number of civilian casualties is not known due to the poor communication and hurdles in finding facts in the remote areas of Afghanistan. NATO always depend its air strikes saying that the terrorists are a big threat to the peace and they have credible information' for their operations against them. Indeed, the terrorists are a threat to peace, but the question is that why their credible information' suggests killing of civilians?

Propaganda posted on the KAVKAZ website is similar to that of the Taliban who make false, unjustified and exaggerated claims of success instead of truthfully reporting their cowardly lethal tactics against civilians with child suicide bomber and IEDs.

The original source of this propaganda, Iranian state run news agency Press TV,makes no mention of a NATO rocket hitting a school. Witness, forum readers,that in the battle against insurgents, innocent people fall victim to the cowardly tactics of insurgents who hide among civilians and use them as human shields. After which, without any dignity or respect for rules of warfare and the families of Muslim victims, these terrorists release graphic imagery of dead civilians – regardless of whether they were killed by their own attacks or during a battle with military and security forces --to evoke hatred and misunderstanding among people. This type of brainwashing is used to trap new recruits for suicide attacks.It is not the policy or tactic of the NATO forces to attack, or intentionally injure, kill or harm any civilians. We took no action against the brutal Taliban regime until the 9/11 terror attacks, plotted and executed by terrorists harbored by them, made it necessary. Even then, we worked with indigenous resistance fighters to overthrow the regime, and allowed them to select a new government and constitution. We have never dictated to them how to govern their country, but have supported them for a decade in their fight against indiscriminate violence from the Taliban.To suggest otherwise is propaganda by those who this post mistakenly refer to as ”Mujahedeen.” Taliban have done, not service, but disservice tot heir country, the Afghan people and Islam.Would Mujahedeen callously murder thousands of their fellow Afghans, as illustrated by this attack on a bank in Jalalabad, for which the perpetrators recently received justice from the Afghan government?

So why, except to mislead, would anyone call them Mujahedeen?

The United States of America claims to care for the innocent people of Afghanistan yet keeps on striking civilian targets. Everyday, as the United States makes tall claims about being a humanitarian country, hundreds of people are dying and suffering unimaginable losses. What has United States achieved so far from this war but the harassment of innocent people?

As America escalates its offensive, the terrorists fight back by targeting more and more civilians of the same country as they cannot harm America so they vent out their anger on the same innocent people of Afghanistan. The common man is caught between the hammer and the anvil, there is no relief from any side, no one is there to look after the innocent people of Afghanistan and they are paying the price for a crime they did not commit.

Where were the United States and its intelligence while these terrorists were making strong holds in countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan and while they were planning to attack America? Why did they not catch these organizations while they were gaining strength? Why is this war being prolonged when no positive outcome is being achieved? How can America justify killing so many innocent civilians?


Life of people in Afghanistan and Pakistan has become a living hell due to the policies of people who have no right to interfere so blatantly in another country's affairs. If this war had achieved some goals and brought about peace for the innocent people, it would have been fully justified. By ruining the lives of so many people, America is fueling this wave of terrorism. The hurt, disappointed, lost and grief stricken youth, who have lost all hope of a future, join hands with the terrorists, trying to strike back and numb the pain of their loss.

These terrorists are like a pest and the war is the scenario that they seek. Anti-American sentiment among the masses suits their purpose. They have a whole population of grieving individuals to brain wash and recruit.

All these policy and strategy makers, the great thinker's should join hands and find a non-military solution to this problem. America is not helping anyone by continuing to bombard Afghanistan. This problem of terrorism can be fought at an intellectual level. Give these people a choice of joining hands with America to fight against terrorism.

America should concentrate on building trust in the hearts of these affected people and they will strike back against terrorists. Masses in Afghanistan do not support terrorism but by killing people indiscriminately, is sowing the seeds for a whole generation of would be terrorists in these areas. United States should stop this war and start to find alternate ways to combat terrorism.

We have confirmation from the French NATO troops involved in the battle in Kapisa province that they did not fire any ordinance on the school mentioned. As far as calling the videos fake, how is the Jalalabad Bank’s security camera video fake? This video was released by the bank itself to Afghan news agencies and the court. This video was used in the trial of the attacker and his accomplices, who were sentenced to death by hanging by the Afghan courts and as of Monday, have been executed.

The accusation of using manipulative videos is completely baseless. We, unlike Taliban, do not make false propaganda videos. Also, it is well known that we have provided security and resources for Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT) who have been targeted by terrorists as they conduct humanitarian assistance and developmental aid missions. Our argument, backed up by verifiable sources with credible evidence, that terrorists hide behind civilians as part of their camouflage and that they use children to commit their evil deeds is still valid since these tactics of theirs has not changed.

Are you denying this specific news or all the news related to killing civilians(aka women and children) in Afghanistan.By the way previous week President Hamid Karzai warned USA for killing civilians in Afghanistan.Now my question here is is did he warned you for just one incident or he warned you for countless incidents.I guess you are a wise man to decide.And this argument of mine that Hamid Karzai warned USA is more than enough to justify my position.
