Foxbat, you are right on target. Can anyone in the free world dream that media informatin is more accurate or honest inside the Pakistani media and press? Folks who think that are outside the realm of reality.

.
Three months of news suppression about casualties of coalition forces IN MEDIA and the American people are starting to think they are winning this war. They sure are mind controlled zombies.

Fact is after ten years of fighting finally their forces have realize that they have to negotiate with Talibans because they fail to eliminate them.

Nice winning that is in NEGOTIATION WITH TALIBANS

Unfortunately, innocent American people only see and believe what CIA controlled media wants them to see and believe. I am sure you'll have a different opinion and I respect that but may not agree to that.

Though US Media is only free inside the US. It does not show the 400,000 people killed by the US in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan and Yemen. Pakistani media is a lot better than the US Media in reporting.

Let us put things in a perspective. Lot of people in this forum have demonstrated the lack of ability to comprehend the ground realities.

The main enemy of USA is Al-Qaeda, which is held responsible for the 9/11 event. And USA is giving a good beating to Al-Qaeda. OBL is gone, which is an important achievement.

Taliban did not participated in 9/11. It was punished for providing shelter to Al-Qaeda. Also, Taliban was not popular in the West for its extreme policies. Particularly the treatment of women and the destruction of famous statues brought it to the spotlight in a negative way. So these reasons paved way for the Afghan invasion under the pretext of WOT.

However, now Americans have realized that Taliban has ideological roots in the Afghan society. It is not going away. Therefore, a policy shift has taken place in US on how to deal with the Taliban. This is why it has been planned to give Taliban a representation in the future of Afghanistan. I believe that this is not a stupid move.

World knows that peace in this region can only be guaranteed if the Afghan Solution is planned and executed properly and on just basis.

USA is using the carrot and stick approach with Taliban to force it to the negotiation table by making it realize that it cannot win through confrontation. We will see how this ends by 2014.

We not only know of it, our media is the source of any figures your media report (Do you think Pakistanis are tallying these casualties?). There is no info denied Americans. You know how you google, for info then claim we Americans are denied info? Who the heck put together the internet that you got this info from? we did. Anyone who thinks anything is "hidden" from Americans is a fool. These channels of data you use? We put them together!
(PS...where do you think the server for this site is? Someones basement in Pakistan? Lol!)

Sir no winning force goes for Talks If America is begging for talks with those guys who don't have even proper shoes to wear that in itself in the defeat for Americans

Remember WWII? It had a political end with "talks." How do you think the Japanese kept thier Emporer? Most ALL wars end with talks, unless you kill damned near everyone (This hasn't happened much since ancient times , when a nation was often a large "tribe", and not often then) If no victor goes for talks, then you admit Pakistan loses every time...since I cannot think of a single conflict they had that did not lead to "talks."

who was interested in a third party intervension in Kashmir, the world know that it was not India.
you think that the Americans after all what they have done to capture Afgan are planning to leave the land any time sooner. Wakeup guys, they did not set foot on Afgan just to throw out the Talibs but also to control the whole of Asia from there.

Our American friend, Juice, raised a valid point. Talks are not a sign of defeat. They are part of the endgame.

Whether the Afghan conflict ends in defeat, victory, or stalemate for US or Taliban; this will be decided when talks will take place between the two sides.

The side which will get most concessions will be likely the victor. The other side will be looser. If both sides will give concessions to each other, then it will be a stalemate.
