What's new

Nato authorities provided military gear

Yes we have seen them work with hazbullah and hammas. All moveable with no specific target.

Israelis would disagree with you about the usage of such devices by Hizbullah at least. Their usage was no joke because they really made good use of these assets.

Small departure but, for those interested, from the Combat Studies Institute-

We Were Caught Unprepared: 2006 Israel-Hezbollah Conflict-CSI

There's a video of some of this here-

"Nahal Bde element night movement to contact in 2006-

Can't link but cut & paste will get you there-

switch248-01.castup.net/cunet/gm.asp?ClipMediaID=209947&ak=63628786

Very convoluted but prefix http://, throw in the above and it will work."

I've just again watched and the link is still good.

Destructlord I wasn't talking to you either ;-) And since you are respecting elders I am18 years older than you with 13 of them in Uniform. SO ..."wind your neck in"

13 of what in uniform?! You have 13 children?! Man you got a big family! :enjoy:

"The sick feeling of watching guys getting high during combat stays with ya...."

Iraq or A-stan?

ANP, in particular, seem to be sportin' some real serious habits. Especially the pashtu from the south. I read a real interesting report on a Hazari police unit in Kandahar with Canadian trainers. They appeared and read as a squared-away unit with no derogs from the Canadians whom they were with.

Impressive commander.

Still, words I've been reading is that the ANP are a mess. Fortunately, it seems that the talibs aren't immune from their own dope. Who really knows but I watch some video of a Brit unit who came across an "oppo" site and found dope and syringes. Tying off and spiking the dope from that area would lead to nasty habits in no time.

Very strong; very cheap.

"...it was not that safe being a trainer. There seems to be a feeling within many that you need eyes in the back of your head..."

You get it perfectly.

I must say though S-2 and ratus it is clear both of you are officers,as you think a Supply sergeant can't circumvent inventory systems.
Sorry, being an officer does not mean that in fact the opposite in my case. Now I can not answer for S-2.

I believe anyone in the supply chain can circumvent the various checking systems. That is their best use, when you need gear fast and no paperwork. Ok when it is necessary the paper trail follows later, much later.

So when inventory is down and I get the misfortune to do a stock take they are the first people I check.

I was just kidding around...relax dude..

The system when I first joined, was pretty much run by QM's who could fudge the books to cover any missing kit. In fact I believe they created a whole centralised system to break that strangle hold. And get kit out to the people who would actually use it. (As the old saying went, "a Storeman always thinks the best place for equipment, is on the shelf out of harms way")

SF procurement is (And I guess always has been) more flexible in that respect. Once My civvy employers supplied some SF guys whose buyer showed up with a envelope of cash

Totally relaxed. :D

Old saying "When I am not relaxed start worrying"

I had the best equiped coy in the Bn. The CQMS knew if I wanted, it arrived.

As for that saying "the best place for equipment, is on the shelf out of harms way" seems it has got to every Q Store in the world.

I didn't call any names! Just the truth, Which civilized country storm others embassy and take the diplomats hostage?! Specially in a third party country!!

OK, I'll come clean. Yes we do storm the Iranian Embassy. Here's some footage (Part 1 of 5), do kindly take the time to study it all.
