LOL, don't worry, once we set up those India-bangla electrical lines you won't ever have to worry about blackouts.

.
The national power grid suffered a breakdown at about 11:30am on Saturday following a major technical fault at the grid line receiving electricity from India, disrupting both the power distribution and generation.

"Possibly, the technical glitch took place at Baharampur point from where India sends electricity to Bangladesh grid substation at Bheramara point," managing director of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Masum Al Biruni said.

After the disaster, the entire power transmission and distribution collapsed, plunging the country into outage.

PGCB officials said a major breakdown at the Indian power generation and transmission system that led to the collapse in power system in Bangladesh as Bangladesh's grid system is connected with the neighbouring country for power import.

Following the technical glitch, all the power generation units across the country instantly went off leading to the full collapse of the power distribution system.

They said PDB and Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) officials are now struggling to restore the system gathering the national load dispatch centre (NLDC).

Meanwhile, the PGCB managing director said, they have been able to restore power supply in Sylhet area through resuming power generation at power plants in Sylhet and Shahjibazar areas.

He said the power generation have also gradually started resuming at Mymensingh and Kaptai power stations.

"We're very cautiously restarting power generation at different plants to avoid any further interruption," said Masum Al Beruni. He, however, could not confirm when the electricity could be restored in Dhaka city and elsewhere.

Lol. We never faced blackouts like this before. And because of this pinch amount of power from india. Now this has happened. BD gov should learn from this and secure the national security by not importing power from india. Either india is impotent or evil.

Perhaps somebody from India read the crap you post here and decided to teach you a lesson by plunging your country into darkness. So the answer to your multiple choice dilemma is that India is evil

Don't forget NTPC thermal power plant is not so far away from Bangladesh!!You people are lucky.Glitch happens..Electricity is not a product to criticize..If you people feel to have better options then urge to govt & obviously go for it..
