National Electricity Grid Failure: Complete chaos now !

Its not about "BD people". BD people had managed electricity grid for last 43 years without disabling entire national grid. It is about india backed Awami League regime provided india access to Bangladesh electricity grid. Now india tested its weapon how to disable Bangladesh electricity.

Idiocy has no limit.

India only providing electricity not managing your grid, its your own incapable people

.
I like reading about developments in Bangladesh- especially because everything is blamed on India. It is like watching an aquarium owned by India.

.
Indian junk fails, it was imminent.

Though it is done by impotent and low brain BD guys, but whoever did it... he did a gud job.

If you have any problem with Hindu electricity than use your own Muslim halal electricity. :D

What kinbd of fool is this??? Aaabe... sometimes read something ... it was a fault on a BD sub-station!!!

.
Ok this is a possible reason:
The line that was coming from India had a fault. Because of fault there occurred high voltage. To get rid rid of that high voltage, the system disconnected that portion. By this, there creates a 500 MW sudden gap of power in National grid which was coming from India.

But the national demand was high that time. So more pressure was created on generators. And the frequency started to reduce. When the frequency reduced at certain level those generators also started to shut down. For this load, demand and frequency all generators started to shut down at a chain effect.

Its naturally controlled by National Load Despatch Centre. In a normal condition, they maintain this by load shedding.
But it happened so quickly this time, that NLDC couldn't control it.

If shut down, a normal power plant takes 4-5 hours to start again. For steam plants 10-12 hours.

Yesterday, it happened two times. 11.30 am and 5 pm. It collapsed again after starting 500-700 MW. Its an accident.
Its totally automatic system now, but the people at command maybe didnt do their work properly. We will know more about this by further investigation.

Confirmed by one PGCB official. The blackout happened exactly this way said above.

The trip occurred on BD substation drawing power from India due to fault in line. It could happen anywhere in BD.

There were some problems with NLDC. Manually maintaining load.

Also PGCB, NLDC, PDB, DESA, DESCO, RPCL etc etc, power companies combined indecision made a huge role for long black out. It was job of PGCB. Which at last solved it.

Our rental power stations of small units made a huge role for this blackout. They cant maintain well in high voltage and under frequency.

132 kv lines gone for upto 145 kv. But our transmission lines aren't in that bad condition as the finance minister said. Our distribution lines are only in bad condition. Though for this huge voltage no equipments were damaged around the country.
Only some protection devices burned.

The system is improving and there is a plan to divide power grid in East and West section. The full report by a committee is underway.

The voltage increased means massive load rejection by cutting out going feeders within seconds making grid voltage and frequency higher than the allowed level (ideally +/- 5%) and subsequent tripping of power plants to protect generators. Can't blame the LDC though unless you divide the grids into zones. Detailed report is going to be interesting.

I think it will be strategically advantageous for us if you buy your energy from us.
