US Open Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles runner up Aisam-ul-Haq receives a warm welcome by the Nation on his return. He is the first Pakistani to achieve such a rewarding result for the country.
A big crowd gathered at the airport to welcome the National hero. Crowd showered flower petals and praised for him as he came out of the airport.
Aisam and his Indian partner Bopanna climb nine steps in ATP Men’s Doubles team rankings. Indo-Pak duo is now ranked World No. 6 in the latest ATP doubles team rankings. Aisam individually in the ATP Doubles list is now ranked 23, his career-high moving up 11 spots. His Indian partner Rohan Bopanna is also ranked a career-high 19 in the Doubles list, moving up 14 places.
The 30-year-old returns to Pakistan today after a record run in New York.

In the run up they defeated world no. 2 and lost in final against world no. 1 6/7 - 6/7.
Earlier this year Aisam defeated Roger fedrer but still his ranking is not climbing.
If Aisam had Certani as partner he could have won in finals.
