@Hyperion, sorry to bring this topic here, but i really want your opinion on this, posting this anywhere else will be a TROLL disaster :D

I came across various Kargil related thread in which Pakistani members claimed that if it weren't for Sharif's retreat than Pakistan was winning the war, but do you really think a man like Musharraf will say YES to retreat under Sharif's order even when Pakistan was winning the war??? He was the one who took the decision to go for Kargil on the first place without taking the permission from than PM, how will than he will retreat under orders of PM when he was having the overall authority when it comes to foreign policy & defence related matters of Pakistan?? Isn't Pakistan making a scapegoat in Sharif??

Nope, he is not making a scapegoat out of N. Sharif. Also the comments by Lt. Gen. Aziz are full of ****. He was one of the yes men of Sharif in the hierarchy along with two other senior generals. Kargil was no fiasco, it had a very definite purpose, the back story is completely different from "war". Kargil excursion was done actually to avoid a BIGGER war. It achieved what it was supposed to achieve. No more comments. :D
