real Kashmiries live in India or in Kashmir in Pakistan..

thy speak fluent Kashmiri Lang...their kids may not but their Parents or any one of da parents who is Kashmiri can speak their Lang

Theres no such thing as Kashmiri Language !

The people from the Valley speak Koshur, those in GB speak Balti, Wakhi, Gilgiti etc., those in Jammu speak Dogri, those in Ladakh & Leh speak some other language ! Our ancestral tongue was Koshur because we're from the valley unfortunately none of us can speak that because culturally & linguistically we're Punjabis but ethnically we're Kashmiris.

To paraphrase Iqbal : Punjabi Khum hai tou kiyaa mein tou Kashmiri hiii meriii, Nagmaa Punjabi hai tou kiyaa leh tou Kashmiri hiii meriii !

And yes we've intermingled with the locals a lot to the point where we & the Punjabis are One & by God I love it !

So yes we're guilty of not preserving our original culture or language but the blood that flows through our veins gives testament to our Kashmiri origin with every beating of our hearts !
